Nordic Operations 0.3.180 — Field Equipment & Mortar Crew

A soldier now appears beside your mortar to load the round, then pulls his hands clear before firing. Longer muzzle smoke and a short mechanical loading click give each shot more presence.

• New handheld rangefinder: measure distance, horizontal range and height difference to solid surfaces up to 128 blocks away. Recall your last measurement by sneaking and using it, or through the field radio.
• Refined rangefinder materials, a fitted gloved grip and subtle idle movement.
• The field radio now offers a field-status overview, a seven-chapter manual and a saved Swedish/English language choice.
• See your nearby mortar’s direction, selected range and loading state without opening its menu.
• Supply crates can store and transfer mortar rounds. Delivery missions show which crate is closest to being ready and what is still missing.
• Clearer scanner feedback, safer menu actions and more reliable mortar-loading cancellation.

Stay near the mortar until loading finishes. Walking away cancels loading without consuming a round. The loading soldier stands at the mortar’s base height; use level ground for the best appearance.
