Description
🌦️ Nazarick Seasons — Dynamic Seasons, Climate, Thirst & Survival
Nazarick Seasons is an environmental and survival overhaul for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, designed to transform seasons, climate and the passage of time into meaningful gameplay mechanics.
Instead of simply changing the appearance of the world, Nazarick Seasons connects multiple survival systems into one evolving environment:
Time → Seasons → Climate → Weather → Temperature → Agriculture → Hydration → Equipment → Shelter → Survival
Players must adapt not only to where they are, but also to when they are there.
Prepare for Summer.
Survive Winter.
Watch the weather.
Manage your temperature.
Stay hydrated.
And let the years pass.
🌎 Four Dynamic Seasons
The world progresses naturally through four seasons:
🌸 Spring — 32 days
☀️ Summer — 36 days
🍂 Autumn — 32 days
❄️ Winter — 40 days
A standard year lasts:
140 Minecraft days
When Winter ends, Spring returns and a new year automatically begins.
World administrators can also customize season duration.
📅 Persistent Seasonal Calendar
Nazarick Seasons includes its own persistent calendar.
The system tracks:
-
Current season;
-
Day within the current season;
-
Current year;
-
Remaining seasonal days;
-
Long-term calendar progression;
-
Seasonal transitions.
Calendar information is preserved between game sessions.
Long-term Survival worlds can therefore experience complete years, not only individual Minecraft days.
⏱️ Advanced Time Engine
Nazarick Seasons uses a custom time system designed to safely support seasonal daylight variation.
Instead of continuously forcing Minecraft's visible time, the addon works with an absolute world timeline.
This helps prevent issues such as:
-
Accelerated Vanilla world days;
-
Abnormally fast Moon phases;
-
Time desynchronization;
-
Conflicts with other time-controlling addons.
🛡️ Time Authority System
Two time modes are available.
Nazarick Mode
Nazarick Seasons controls seasonal time progression.
This enables:
-
Seasonal daylight duration;
-
Seasonal night duration;
-
Custom sleep progression;
-
Nazarick time synchronization.
Compatibility Mode
Minecraft or another addon controls world time.
Nazarick Seasons stops competing for clock control while keeping its main environmental systems active.
This includes:
-
Seasons;
-
Temperature;
-
Climate;
-
Agriculture;
-
Thirst;
-
Thermal survival;
-
Weather events;
-
Difficulty systems.
Command:
/seasons:timeauthority <nazarick|compatibility>
⚔️ Automatic Time Conflict Detection
The Time Authority Guard monitors external changes to the Minecraft clock.
If another addon repeatedly attempts to control time, Nazarick Seasons can detect the conflict and switch to Compatibility Mode instead of allowing both systems to continuously fight over the world clock.
🌍 Existing World Compatibility
Nazarick Seasons can be installed into existing Survival worlds.
A pre-existing world does not need to inherit its entire Vanilla age into the Nazarick calendar.
For example:
Vanilla World: Day 2547
can still begin Nazarick Seasons at:
Year 1 — Spring — Day 1
The original world age remains preserved separately.
Worlds already using Nazarick Seasons also retain their existing seasonal calendar when updating.
🔄 Optional World-Day Synchronization
Players who intentionally want the Nazarick calendar to follow the Vanilla world's existing age can use:
/seasons:syncworldday
Synchronization is optional and is not forced automatically.
☀️ Seasonal Day & Night Length
Daylight changes throughout the year.
🌸 Spring
Days gradually become longer.
☀️ Summer
Summer features the longest daylight periods.
🍂 Autumn
Daylight gradually decreases.
❄️ Winter
Winter brings shorter days and longer nights.
The seasons can therefore be felt even without constantly checking the HUD.
🌡️ Dynamic Environmental Temperature
Temperature is calculated according to the player's environment.
The system can consider:
-
Current season;
-
Biome;
-
Time;
-
Weather;
-
Altitude;
-
Environmental difficulty;
-
Extreme climate events;
-
Shelter;
-
Water;
-
Wetness;
-
Nearby heat sources;
-
Thermal armor;
-
Global temperature adjustments.
Temperature calculations have continued to receive balancing improvements in newer versions, making the environmental baseline more consistent with the survival system.
The Nether and End also receive their own temperature behavior.
🔥 Lava & Extreme Heat
Lava is now an even more important environmental heat source.
Being close to lava can rapidly increase heat exposure, creating danger even without directly touching it.
The closer the player remains to intense heat sources, the more quickly the environment can become dangerous.
This makes volcanic areas, caves and Nether exploration significantly more relevant to thermal survival.
🔥❄️ Thermal Survival
Temperature is not only informational.
Players can progressively accumulate:
🔥 Heat Stress
or
❄️ Cold Stress
Environmental danger builds over time rather than immediately punishing players for entering a biome.
This gives the player a chance to respond through preparation and environmental awareness.
Possible strategies include:
-
Finding shelter;
-
Entering water;
-
Leaving dangerous regions;
-
Approaching heat sources;
-
Using thermal equipment;
-
Resting;
-
Managing hydration.
Long exposure to extreme temperatures can eventually become dangerous.
🏠 Shelter Protection
Shelter can reduce exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures.
Properly protected areas help defend players from:
🔥 Extreme heat;
❄️ Extreme cold;
🌦️ Severe environmental conditions.
Houses, caves and prepared shelters therefore become meaningful survival tools.
🔥 Heat Sources
Several active heat-producing blocks can warm nearby players.
Supported systems include:
-
Campfires;
-
Furnaces;
-
Blast Furnaces;
-
Smokers.
Heat influence depends on distance.
During dangerous cold conditions, warming near an appropriate source can also contribute to recovery.
💧 Water & Wetness
Water has different effects depending on environmental temperature.
During heat:
💧 Water can cool the player.
During cold:
❄️ Water can become dangerous.
After leaving water, the player can temporarily remain:
Wet
Wetness increases the danger of cold exposure until the player dries.
Environmental states can also be displayed alongside thermal warnings in the HUD.
Example:
Intense Cold • Wet
🥤 Thirst System
One of the newest major additions to Nazarick Seasons is a fully functional Thirst System.
Players now need to manage hydration alongside health, food and environmental temperature.
Thirst gradually decreases as the player continues exploring and surviving.
The system is designed to become another natural part of the survival loop rather than a purely cosmetic statistic.
💧 Dynamic Thirst HUD
Hydration information is integrated into the Nazarick Seasons interface.
The thirst indicator is designed to remain unobtrusive when hydration is high and become more relevant as the player begins to need water.
This helps keep the normal Minecraft interface clean while still making hydration easy to monitor when it matters.
🌡️ Climate & Hydration
Thirst is integrated into the wider environmental philosophy of Nazarick Seasons.
Hydration becomes increasingly important when surviving environmental conditions such as:
-
High temperatures;
-
Hot biomes;
-
Summer;
-
Long exploration sessions;
-
Extreme climate situations.
This creates another connection between climate and player preparation.
🍼 Canteen System
Nazarick Seasons introduces a custom Canteen designed for exploration.
Instead of carrying only individual water sources, players can use a dedicated hydration item as part of their survival equipment.
The canteen system is designed around multiple servings of water, making it useful for:
-
Long journeys;
-
Desert exploration;
-
Summer survival;
-
Mining expeditions;
-
Remote bases;
-
Extreme environmental conditions.
The canteen becomes another preparation tool alongside food, armor and thermal equipment.
🧃 Drinks & Juices
The hydration system is also expanding beyond basic water.
Nazarick Seasons includes custom drinks and juices designed to interact with thirst.
These additions give food and agriculture another purpose by connecting farming with hydration.
Custom beverages include fruit-based drinks such as:
🍉 Watermelon-based drinks;
🍎 Apple-based drinks;
and other hydration items introduced as the system expands.
Food items with naturally high water content can also contribute to hydration.
This creates a broader survival loop:
Grow → Harvest → Prepare → Drink → Explore
🛏️ Restorative Sleeping
Sleeping is more than a Vanilla instant night skip.
Nazarick Seasons introduces an actual resting period.
Features include:
-
Approximately one minute of rest;
-
Sleep progress feedback;
-
Health recovery;
-
Integration with the custom calendar;
-
Integration with the Time Engine;
-
Correct progression toward morning.
Beds become part of player recovery.
❤️ Recovery While Resting
Players can restore health while sleeping.
This turns rest into a survival mechanic rather than simply a way to avoid nighttime mobs.
Combined with environmental survival, returning home after a dangerous expedition now has greater gameplay value.
🌱 Seasonal Agriculture
Crop growth changes according to season.
Different crops perform better during different parts of the year.
🌸 Spring
Favorable for crops such as:
-
Wheat;
-
Carrots;
-
Potatoes;
-
Beetroot.
☀️ Summer
Warm-weather crops receive better conditions.
Examples include:
-
Melons;
-
Pumpkins;
-
Sugar Cane;
-
Cactus.
🍂 Autumn
Harvest-oriented crops receive favorable conditions.
❄️ Winter
Traditional farming becomes more difficult.
Environmental difficulty can further modify agricultural conditions.
Agriculture is increasingly connected not only to food, but also to the new hydration and drink systems.
🌦️ Biome-Based Climate
Climate behavior depends on biome.
Different areas of the world can experience very different environmental conditions.
Examples include:
🏜️ Hot and dry deserts;
🌴 Humid tropical jungles;
🐊 Wet and misty swamps;
❄️ Severe cold regions;
🌲 Temperate environments.
Biome climate influences temperature, weather and survival.
🌤️ Dynamic Weather Throughout the Day
Weather behavior has been expanded so environmental conditions do not always remain identical throughout an entire Minecraft day.
A day can now feel more dynamic.
For example:
A warm clear morning may eventually transition into afternoon rain or another local weather condition.
This makes the environment feel less scripted and improves the illusion of a living climate system.
🌫️ Regional Atmospheric Effects
Different biomes can receive their own atmospheric behavior.
🌴 Jungles
Possible conditions include:
-
Tropical fog;
-
Humid atmosphere;
-
Weather-related visibility changes.
Supported areas include:
-
Jungle;
-
Sparse Jungle;
-

🐊 Swamps
Swamp environments can receive:
-
Regional fog;
-
Humid atmosphere;
-
Dense visibility effects.
Supported areas include:
-
Swamp;
-
Mangrove Swamp.
🏜️ Sandstorms
Deserts and Badlands can experience sandstorms.
Effects may include:
-
Reduced visibility;
-
Sand particles;
-
Dry atmospheric conditions;
-
Increased environmental pressure.
Sandstorms remain associated with appropriate dry regions.
❄️ Snow & Blizzards
Cold environments can experience stronger Winter conditions.
Depending on season, climate and difficulty, players may experience:
-
Snow;
-
Heavy snowfall;
-
Blizzard conditions;
-
Reduced visibility.
Seasonal snowfall can also occur outside permanently snowy biomes when environmental conditions become sufficiently cold.
🌦️ Extreme Climate Events
Nazarick Seasons can generate extreme environmental situations.
Possible events include:
🔥 Heat Waves
🏜️ Droughts
❄️ Cold Fronts
🌨️ Severe Blizzards
🧊 Polar Anomalies
Their frequency and intensity depend heavily on the selected environmental difficulty.
🔥 Climate-Driven Wildfires
Natural fires can occur when climate conditions become dangerous.
