Myths and Magic is a fantasy addon which focuses on adding new Mobs, Blocks and Items into the game alongside a brand new magical system.
The Add-on works alongside the base game in a Vanilla+ style. It contains over 10 new mobs, plenty of new tools and blocks and 5 new musical tracks too!
I cannot go through everything on just this page, but I will go over alot of the major content where I can, and let you discover the rest in game!

Myths and Magic features an in-depth magical system, with 25 Spells as of v1.0.0.
Spells are split into 3 types, Combat, Status and Mobility. They also have one of 6 elements which effect how they work.

Offensive spells focus on dealing damage to targets, Status spells will inflict a non-damaging effect on you or others and Mobility spells help you move yourself and others around the world.
Spells are naturally found on scrolls inside of structures, and you can also craft scrolls using a special block called a Scroll Crafter, each scroll can cast one spell at the cost of Mana however, scrolls consume durability and will eventually break.
Tired of your scrolls breaking? Use the Spellcrafter to combine them into a Spellbook! Spellbooks can hold 3 Spells Total meaning you can combine different spells for different effects - there is limitless combinations to try!
Spells in Spellbooks will never run out of durability, and will accumulate exp when used, eventually allowing them to be levelled up using a Spellcrafter to increase their power! Spells can reach a maximum level of 3.
Be careful though, as you add more spells into a spellbook, you also increase the amount of Mana required to cast it, as well as the cooldown length after using it.
Youtube - Myths and Magic Spells Showcase
Mana will regenerate overtime on its own, and you can use helpful Magic Items to restore it quicker as well as boost your spell power!

Magic Items are a collection of items that can enhance your magical equipment, there is armour which can be equipped to your body, masks which take up your helmet slot and Amulets which give power in your offhand
Azsilva Armour will increase the regeneration speed of your Mana by 25% for each piece, meaning a full set equipped will double the rate that it is restored!
Amulets will provide bonus effects to your spells when in the offhand, but can only be used a certain amount of times before you must recraft them at a crafting bench. There are 4 amulets, listed below
- Sparkling Amulet - +50% mana regeneration, Increases maximum mana capacity by 50%.
- Blazing Amulet - +100% mana regeneration, Decreases the cooldown between using spells.
- Shivering Amulet - Reduces the cost of spells by 33%, Increases the cooldown between using spells.
- Altered Amulet - Boosts spell damage by 30%, reduces your health when casting a spell.
Elemental Masks can be equipped as helmets, they dont provide much protection but will boost the damage you do with a certain element of spell as well as reduce damage taken from another element.
- Ember Mask - Boosts Fire damage by 1.5x, reduces Ice damage taken by half.
- Frost Mask - Boosts Ice damage by 1.5x, reduces Earth damage taken by half.
- Breeze Mask - Boosts Air damage by 1.5x, reduces Fire damage taken by half.
- Boulder Mask - Boosts Earth damage by 1.5x, reduces Electric damage taken by half.
- Thunder Mask - Boosts Electric damage by 1.5x, reduces Air damage taken by half.
While there is a sixth element, Mana, there is no mask that boosts or reduces the damage of it.
Last thing I will explain in this section are the Magical Management Blocks
The Spell Manager is a block crafted using wood and wool. It can be interacting with using a Spellbook or Spell Scroll to do a few things
- Dye a Spell Book any colour by using one dye
- Change the order spells are listed in a given Book
- Research the effects of a spell inside a Scroll or Book, allowing you to learn what it does!
The Spellcrafter is found within a new structure, the Sparkling Tower and cannot be crafted. It can be used to do alot of things, but each use will deplete its energy, to restore it you must give a Sparkling Crystal to a Mage. If you destroy the Spellcrafter, you can craft a Reforged Spellcrafter, it does all the things a normal one can, but you can refuel it without the use of the Mage!
A Spellcrafter can do the following :
- Restore durability to a Scroll
- Convert a Scroll into a Spell on a Book
- Empty a Spellbook (removes all spells, refunds you some sparkling shards)
- View Spell exp and level up Spells
Lastly, the Scroll Crafter can be used to create different spells onto scrolls, you interact with it using a blank scroll (crafted using paper) and can then supply a few materials to create a new scroll! You need to learn a scrolls recipe in order to craft new ones though, this can be done either by finding that scroll naturally (eg, in a structure) or by reading a new book, the Ancient Texts, which can be found in various structures and will unlock a recipe you didnt know yet!
That is all for Magic, now its time for the Myths! Starting with….

Myths and Magic adds in a large collection of mobs to the game, passive and hostile. Im going to give a quick rundown of some of them below! To save on space, I am keeping the information on the mobs short, so do make sure to find them in game and learn more there!

The Mage
The Mage is the poster-they of Myths and Magic, living atop the Sparkling Tower structure, the Mage is the guardian of the Spellcrafter, though, it will let you use it without issue.. just dont try and steal it, or else you wont like what happens!
The Mage is a powerful magic user, and is capable of repowering the Spellcrafter should it run out of energy, simply hand it a Sparkling Crystal (which is an item the Mage is quite fond of, fyi) and it will create a powerful field of energy that recharges the nearest Spellcrafter that needs it!
Fun Fact : The Mage was the First mob that was revealled for Myths & Magic, back in 2024!

The Booze
The Booze is a friendly cousin of the Blaze, being a living potion that floats around in a cauldron and loves to make potions! The Booze can be found captive in the Coven Ruins structure, where you must free it and defeat all witches nearby to keep it safe, once free, you can feed the Booze to create magical potions!
When you interact with the booze, as long as no witches are nearby, you can feed it an item, after feeding it four items, if they were a certain combination, the Booze will shift in colour to resemble a potion, from this point you can bottle it up in an Amethyst Bottle (made with 3 amethyst) to get a special potion! Dont worry, the booze will regenerate its bottled portion after a minute or so.
Here is a list of all potions you can make with the booze!
All potion recipes require one netherwart, alongside the three items mentioned below.
2x Magma Cream, 1x Redstone Dust - Fire Resistance (12:00)
2x Pufferfish, 1x Redstone Dust - Water Breathing (12:00)
2x Golden Carrot, 1x Redstone Dust - Night Vision (12:00)
2x Azsilva Carrot, 1x Redstone Dust - Invisibility (12:00)
2x Phantom Membrane, 1x Redstone Dust - Slow Falling (8:00)
2x Ghast Tear, 1x Glowstone Dust - Regeneration III (0:22)
2x Sugar, 1x Glowstone Dust - Speed III (1:30)
2x Rabbit Foot, 1x Glowstone Dust - Jump Boost III (1:30)
2x Rabbit Foot, 1x Glowstone Dust - Haste II (1:30)
2x Fermented Spider Eye, 1x Vampire Fang - Blindness (0:45)
2x Alchatite Ingot, 1x Gunpowder - Metallurgy (5:00)
2x Resin Clump, 1x Fermented Spider Eye - Reduction (1:30)
Boozes will also drop Spell Charges which can be thrown, if they hit a mob, they will apply any potion effects you currently have onto that target!
Fun Fact: The Booze has been referenced before in my other addons, most notably as the 'Benevolent Brew Statue' in Alylica's Dungeons!

The Flickerwwick
Flickerwicks are without a doubt one of the cutest mobs in Myths & Magic. They are also uniquely craftable, though they can also be found naturally in a few structures.
When crafted or found, they will be in a dormant state, but if lit using a Flint n' Steel, they come to life and will follow you around wherever you go, lighting up the nearby area. Depending on a material added to their recipe, you can get Soul Fire, Copper or Sparkling Fire Flickerwicks as well!
Flickerwicks will slowly melt as time goes on, before they eventually run out of time and expire, but using honeycomb you can extend their lifespan a little bit! Doing so also grants you a positive effect that depends on the type of flickerwick.
Fun Fact: The Flickerwick was actually added to the add-on as result of winning the "Make a Myth" contest!

The Slushbuckler
Slushbucklers may look scary, at 4 blocks tall and with arms that could probably crush you in an instant, but they are completely friendly! These big softies will spawn in any snowy biome and love to eat ice!
Craft a Popsicle using a stick and 4 ice, then feed it to a Slushbuckler, it will chomp down on it right away and get major cold breath, breathing it out into a massive snowstorm that coats the nearby terrain in snow and ice aswell as creating Permafrost, a magical ice material used in creating Ice Spells
Fun Fact: Slushbucklers aren't the only ones who can eat Popsicles! If you eat one, you will heal a bit and be slightly fireproof

The Mymik
Mymiks are one of the new Hostile Monsters included in the Add-On, they are found in the halls of the Sanctuary and will attack you if you get in their line of sight. As a Mymik chases after you, be careful of its long arms which can extend out of its jaws and pull you in from even far distances!
Mymiks are also quite dangerous as they will pilfer items from your inventory when attacking, meaning you may suddenly lose whatever weapon you are holding! They wont steal armour though, and any thing they steal will be returned to you when they are killed.
Fun Fact: While they do look like them, Mymiks arent actually that bothered in pretending to be a chest, they prefer to just fly straight at you and bite!

The Sacred Statue
One of the strongest monsters in Myths & Magic, the Sacred Statue is a mini-boss found at the end of the Sanctuary, with extreme durability to most attacks and the ability to shake the earth as they step, they are quite the dangerous foe if you are unprepared.
Sacred Statues are distinctly resistant to most sources of damage, but will crumble easily to pickaxes, so when fighting them, it is much more effective to smack them with your pickaxe than it is a sword, spear, or other weapon.
When the Sacred Statue is chasing you, be careful if it surrounds itself with red magic, that means its preparing its Slam Attack which deals extremely high damage in a nearby radius.
Fun Fact: The Sacred Statue has a decorative block version of it, the "Inanimate Statue"!

The Chill
The Chill is a variant of Zombies that can be found inside Snowy Biomes, they will attack you with frosty hands that inflict weakness, making them dangerous, especially when paired with Strays.
Rarely, you may find a Chill mounted atop a Stray Polar Bear, a new zombified variant of the Polar Bear, if the Spear-Wielding Chill is defeated, the Stray Polar Bear can be saddled and ridden, making an effect land and water mount
Fun Fact: The Chill was originally made without Polar Bears in mind, but after a suggestion from a Beta Tester, i decided to see how it would look, and boy did it look awesome, so I added it!

The Sanguine Spider
Sanguine Spiders are a powerful, vampiric version of the vanilla Spider that can be found in caves below Y Level 0. Sanguine Spiders are capable of cloaking themselves to become invisible, which might allow them to catch you off guard with their boosted attack power.
When killed, they drop Vampire Fangs, a new item that can be crafted into the Fangangler, a Weapon that lets you strike mobs quickly and shoot projectiles from a distance.
Fun Fact: The name "Fangangler" was decided because I struggled to pronounce "Fenangle" while trying to come up with a name, and it made me laugh.

The Scrubel
Scrubels are desert dwelling thieves that can be found resting at Treasure Piles, they may look like normal cacti at first but will unstack and charge you if you stray too close to their stash of loot!
Scrubels can pick up items they find and will store them in their treasure piles, but will also use these items to attack you if needed, they will also attack you with their thorns if you hit them, so be careful!
Scrubels can be tamed by feeding them bottles of water, after taming them they will no longer attack, but will go after any mob that may attack you, equip them with strong weapons so they can defend you well!
Fun Fact: When you break a Scrubel's Treasure Pile it will drop whatever the Scrubels hid in it, which may be some very good loot if you are lucky!
Thats it for the mobs - Though, there is actually a few more, I didnt want to spoil everything on this page, so head in game to check them out!

Myths and Magic adds in plenty of new items to the game, from equipment to crafting ingredients to blocks (Yes im going over blocks too, its just that "Items and Blocks" was too big for a banner, so I will go into all of them, due to there being quite a few, I wont explain too much about their complexities, but it will be enough for you to understand!
I also wont go over any items mentioned in the above sections, because that would be a bit pointless.
- Sparkling Shards / Crystals - Found underground as ore and in geodes, these crystals can be used to make magical items like Scrolls and Books. They can also be used for lanterns and torches.
- Blaze Souls - An item dropped by blazes, they are used to craft fire magic related items and flickerwicks.
- Halberds - A new weapon you can craft, allowing for high damage and reach with slow cooldowns, it becomes even stronger if you use it while sprinting!
- Icarus Boots - A powerful pair of boots you can equip, letting you triple jump by sprinting and jumping in the air, great for mobility.
- Permafrost Crystals - Obtained from Slushbucklers, these crystals can be used to make Ice related Spells and items
- Warp Key - Found as Structure Loot, this key will return you to your spawn point if you use it, though it has to be held down for a few seconds to work.
- Azsilva Items - Azsilva is an ore that generates underground, crafted into tools and armour it will be slightly more effective than Iron gear.
- Azsilva Carrot - A somewhat mediocre food source, eating this also restores mana
- Demon Armour - A powerful armour set, though it is known to be quite clingy, you also must wear a full set to be able to use it without it breaking.
- Unobtanium - A mysterious metal found from ores in the Alterrealm
- Alchatite - A magnetic alloy crafted with Iron and Unobtanium
I will also go over some of the new blocks in the addon!
- Orb Ponderer - Lets you select specific enchantments to apply to items, at the cost of items as well as experience levels
- Braziers - Medival light sources for dramatic builds, come in four colours!
- Chillers - When powered with redstone, they will pull cold air from infront of them, slowing down mobs caught in the grasp
- Magnetic Pistons - Pushes and Pulls any blocks that are magnetic (such as iron) in its range when powered, toggle between pushing and pulling by interacting with the panel on the back
- Unobtaniun Transporter - A powerful redstone block that can teleport items from one transporter to the next when given power.
- Scorched Sandstone - A variant of sandstone with an expansive blockset
- Calcite Blocks - Calcite can now be crafted into bricks, smooth calcite, etc
- Alchatite Blocks - Blocks made of Alchatite that can be used for industrial decor
- Unobtanium Blocks - Blocks made of Unobtanium that provide a unique decorative purpose

There is quite a lot of structures in Myths & Magic, and I will go over each of the major ones and detail where to find them and what to expect from them!
The Sanctuary

Long abandonded ruins, The Sanctuary is probably the largest structure in the addon, containing multiple blocks, items and mobs unique to it!
Sanctuaries can be found underground in Deserts, you can find an Explorer Map in Desert Temple Chests which will guide you to one as well! You will know you find one when you find rooms made of Scorched Sandstone and the special Sanctuary Bricks
The Sanctuary is quite perilous, containing pits and parkour challenges, as well as Mymiks, Husks and Parched. Once you reach the end, you will likely find a mysterious glowing Sanctuary Key, and if you try to grab it, two Sacred Statues will spring to life and attack you!
Once they go down, you can grab the key and bring it back up to the starting room to unlock the Sanctuary Vault, which contains high value loot including the Icarus Boots, Hellfire Spell and even a Music Disc "Keeper".. though dont think you are too safe, for when you grab the key, the Sanctuary Keepers come to life to defend it!
Sanctuary Keepers are unkillable and unavoidable, passing through walls and ignoring all forms of damage, they will relentlessly chase down any player who carries the sanctuary key with them, but will ignore others. Once you place the key into the vault, the Sanctuary Keepers will be banished!
Fun Fact: The Sanctuary was originally going to be the biggest feature in Myths and Magic.. yea thinks really changed during development
The Polar Dungeon

The Polar Dungeon is a dangerous structure that can be found in snowy biomes, you can enter it from the pasage found on the surface where you will be faced with various parkour and combat challenges! They also house the Dyzgise, an icy variant of the Mymik that hits harder but is a bit slower
Polar Dungeons will house various rooms containing spawners, vaults and traps that make use of the Chiller Block, the Spawners will contain Chills, Strays, Vexes and Dyzgises, they also get extra dangerous if you trigger an Ominous Trial so be careful!
Using the Polar Trial Keys to unlock the vaults throughout the structure can net you some nice rewards inlcuding the exclusive Icicle Spell, Enchanted Items and Powerful Weapons
Fun Fact: While you will find Permafrost Icicles in this structure, they will actually drop considerably less Permafrost Shards than the Icicles created by a Slushbuckler
The Sparkling Tower

The Sparkling Tower can be found on the surface of the overworld, it houses the Mage as well as the Spell Crafter. The Tower can be found in forest and plains biomes
The Sparkling Tower contains 3 loot chests as well as plenty of bookshelves, here you can find Spells/Scrolls, Sparkling Shards and the Ancient Texts which allows you to learn new Spell Recipes! You can also find another new Music Disc here, called "Myths and Magic"
There is also a hidden room in the roof of the top floor, but I wont spoil what you might find up there... ;)
Fun Fact: This structure was the only one I (Alylica) had no clue how to design, so I got help from a friend to design it!
Coven Ruins

The Coven Ruins are found inside of Swamp Biomes and house a group of 5 witches aswell as 3 captive Boozes.
Coven Ruins will contain up to 5 chests which house various items including Potion Ingredients, Special Potions, Spell Charges and even Ancient Texts. You can also find some Spells here too!
You will have to take out the witches before you will be able to interact with the boozes here, so do remember that!
Fun Fact: The Booze was originally designed for a modelling contest in 2024, in that idea, it was a hostile mob that spawned in vanilla witch huts, so you can see how I adapted the idea for this addon
The Altercult Lair

The Altercult Lair is the last major structure, and I saved it for last as it holds a large secret.
The Altercult lair can be found in forest biomes, marked by a small stone tower on the surface with a hidden cellar below, Housing strange blocks such as Alterstone and Altermoss.
While the Altercult Lair has some interesting loot, including spells like Shadow and Purify, Warp Keys and the Music Disc "Devoid", the main prize is in the centeral chest, as that chest always houses an Altered Key
The Altered Key is a corrupted Warp Key, rather than bringing you back to your spawnpoint, the Altered Key will transport you into the mysterious pocket dimension known as the Alterrealm
The Alterrealm is quite in depth, so it will be explained in its own section below!
Fun Fact: Untill quite late in development, there was no surface structure for the Altercult Lair

NOTE - If you play on a slow device, you may have trouble loading the Alterrealm on your own without another player going in first, please be aware of this limitation before you write any mean comments, I will continue to optimise this feature as best I can in the future
The Alterrealm - A mysterious pocket dimension located between true and false, within small gaps of reality. You get here using an Altered Key, which itself is crafted using materials from the Alterrealm, therefore, its very existance is parodoxical!
Once you use the Altered Key, you are brought into the Alterrealm, and be weary, because you cannot stay here forever! Once you enter, the clock starts ticking and once its up, you will be sent back to the real world in the same spot you left!
Inside the Alterrealm you can find lots of useful materials and alien plants, and may even stumble across structures with their own high-end loot, but be careful, for you will also encounter the dangerous Alterbeasts! Mysterious Block-Like Monsters that float towards you and deal damage, If you manage to kill one it will actually extend how long you will stay in the Alterrealm, so it might be worth it to pick fights with them!

There is one other mob, that you really dont want to fight, though, and that is the Revoid

A living embodiment of anguish and grief, the Revoid will emerge if it senses a player spending too long in the Alterrealm, and if it finds you, your best bet is to run and pray it cant reach you in time. The Revoid is extremely powerful with huge damage, speed and health. It can fit into small places and even detach small splinters of its body to fly at you if you manage to get away from its powerful melee attacks.
While neither the Revoid or Alterbeasts will drop anything, from the natural and structure areas of the Alterrealm you can get lots of unique items like Unobtanium, a Music Disc for "Revoid - Altered Mix" and plenty of high quality gear items such as diamond loot, spells, sparkling crystals and even a special mask..
A few more things to know about the Alterrealm:
- It will change form each time you go in, meaning that anything you leave behind once you exit is gone for good. In multiplayer, it only changes once all players have left, so you are able to stay longer with smart usage of Keys
- Some strange force will prevent you from casting spells in the Alterrealm, nobody knows why
- To craft an Altered Key, you need Alterstone and Unobtanium, so make sure you collect some each time you go in, that way you can go back again!
Please be aware that this feature is incredibly big for a Bedrock Add-On, so do not be surprised if you find some glitches, but I hope it is not too immersion breaking :)
Fun Fact: The Alterrealm is based partially on the idea of Cut Content, with alot of its content being ideas that were scrapped from my other addons!

I do make these Add-Ons on my own, but I also do get help on some things, so here is a list of the Credits!
