Future versions may include:
- Route creation
- Multiple lines
- Railway junctions
- Automatic route selection
- Destination systems
- Train traffic management
- Signals
- Track switching
🚦 Signals & Traffic
A future railway traffic system is planned to make large networks more realistic.
Possible features include:
- Railway signals
- Automatic block sections
- Train detection
- Junction control
- Safe train spacing
- Automatic traffic management
- Red / yellow / green signal states
⚙️ Technical Architecture
MTR MOD is being developed specifically for Minecraft Bedrock Edition using Bedrock's add-on architecture.
The project uses:
- Behavior Packs
- Resource Packs
- Bedrock entities
- Custom block definitions
- Custom geometry
- Render controllers
- Animations
- Minecraft Bedrock Script API
- Functions and scoreboards
The development architecture is designed to allow the project to grow into a much larger railway simulation system.
🎨 Custom Assets
The project contains custom railway assets including:
- Train models
- Railway textures
- Track-related models
- Block geometry
- Animations
- Resource-pack definitions
Assets are being adapted to work with the Bedrock Edition resource-pack and behavior-pack system.
🧪 Prototype Status
This release is an early development prototype.
Some systems are currently experimental or incomplete.
The prototype focuses on establishing the technical foundation for:
Railway → Train → Route → Station → Signals → Automation
The final goal is to connect these systems into one complete transit network.

🎮 Recommended Use
For the current prototype, create a test world and enable the required experimental features if requested by the current Bedrock version.
Cheats can also be useful during development and testing.
Example:
/give @s mtr:rail_node
The prototype is primarily intended for testing and development rather than being considered a finished railway simulator.
⚠️ Compatibility
This project is being developed for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
Compatibility may change during development as Bedrock's APIs and add-on systems evolve.
Always use the latest compatible release notes before installing a development build.
🔧 Development
MTR MOD is an independent Bedrock project.
It is not the original Java Edition Forge mod and does not directly execute Java Forge code inside Bedrock.
Instead, the Bedrock version reimplements railway functionality using Bedrock-compatible technologies.
📦 Installation
1. Download the latest ".mcaddon" release.
2. Open the file with Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
3. Wait for the import to finish.
4. Create or edit a world.
5. Activate the MTR MOD Behavior Pack.
6. Activate the MTR MOD Resource Pack.
7. Enter the world.
8. Test the railway components.
For development builds, experimental features may be required.
🐛 Bug Reports
If you encounter a problem, please provide:
- Minecraft version
- Device/platform
- MTR MOD version
- What you were doing when the problem occurred
- Screenshots or videos when possible
- Any error message shown by Minecraft
Clear bug reports help improve the project faster.
🚀 Future Vision
MTR MOD is intended to become much more than a collection of train models.
The long-term vision is to create a complete railway transportation framework for Minecraft Bedrock where players can build interconnected networks, create stations, operate trains, manage routes, and eventually automate entire transit systems.
Build the railway. Connect the stations. Run the network.
