Huge wide eyes never blink, and the smile never breaks.
Thin arms hang too long against a body that looks wrong.
A short sound can mark it out in the open world.
Sometimes it only waits at the foot of your bed.
If something blocks that space, it stays away until it’s clear.
Horror built around that fixed stare and that frozen grin.
