Description
Mob Respawn - Mob Revival Block is a technical add-on ⚙️ that introduces an automatic mob respawn system using a special block. The mod saves an exact copy of the bound mob (including its armor, health, and data) and revives it after death according to your custom settings 🛠️.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: For the add-on to work, you must enable the experimental toggle in your world settings — Beta APIs!
📖 How it works:
-
Place the Mob Revival Block in the desired location 🧊.
-
Bring the mob you want to save within a 3-block radius of the block (players and dropped items cannot be bound) 🐄.
-
Interact with the block to open the settings menu 📱.
-
Scroll to the very bottom, toggle "Bind" on, and close the UI 🔗.
-
You will see soul fire particles and hear a sound ✨ — the mob is successfully saved! Now, whenever it dies, the block will automatically revive it ♻️.
⚙️ Available UI Settings:
-
🟢 Active: Fully enables or disables the specific block's operation.
-
⏱️ Delay: Time in seconds between the mob's death and its respawn (default is 5 sec).
-
🐑 Count: The number of mobs that will spawn upon revival (allows you to spawn a whole group at once).
-
📏 Radius: The random spawn radius around the block. The script automatically searches for safe (non-solid) blocks so the mob doesn't suffocate inside a wall.
-
☀️ Conditions (Time): You can set the mob to respawn only during the day, only at night, or ignore the time of day completely.
-
🔴 Redstone: If enabled, providing an active redstone signal to the block will temporarily pause the respawn timer (great for creating controllable spawners).
🔧 Technical Features & Limitations:
-
💾 The mob is saved using internal /structure commands. This means the mob is saved exactly as it was when bound (equipped armor, name tags, etc., are all kept).
-
💥 If the Mob Revival Block is destroyed, the bind is reset, the saved structure is deleted from the world's memory, and all living mobs tied to this block lose their system tags (but they do not disappear from the world).
-
🎯 The block tracks "its own" mobs using a unique tag system. If the bound mob is alive, a new one will not spawn until it dies (unless you artificially increased the spawn amount in the Count setting).
