Missing Blocks 1.0

Welcome to the first release of Missing Blocks. This add-on adds Full Block, Slab, Slab Vertical, Stairs, Stairs Vertical, and Wall shapes across a range of materials, the shapes that never quite made it into the base game, built to match the base game's style and behavior so they feel like they belonged there all along. Here's everything included in this first release.

Blocks

Wood (Acacia, Bamboo, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Oak, Pale Oak, Spruce, Warped)

• Added Vertical Slab, Vertical Stairs, and Wall for Planks
• Added the full shape set for Herringbone
• Added the full shape set for Mosaic, except Bamboo Mosaic, which only adds Vertical Slab, Vertical Stairs, and Wall like Planks

Andesite / Diorite / Granite

• Added the full shape set for Cobbled, Mossy Cobbled, Smooth, Bricks, Mossy Bricks, Cracked Bricks, Tiles, Mossy Tiles, and Cracked Tiles

Recipes

• Vanilla Stairs recipes now yield 8 blocks when crafted on a crafting table, matching the custom Stairs and Stairs Vertical recipes
• Vertical Slab is crafted using 3 Full Blocks
• Wood-type Walls are crafted using 4 Vertical Slabs and 2 Full Blocks
• Cracked variants (Bricks and Tiles) can now be crafted via Stonecutter
• Custom Stone blocks can be crafted via Crafting Table and Stonecutter; smelting in a Furnace now also works: Cobbled into Base, Base into Smooth, Bricks into Cracked Bricks, and Tiles into Cracked Tiles

Behavior

• Slabs use the same placement logic as vanilla Slabs (top or bottom half depending on where you click)
• Vertical Slabs use the same concept but on the horizontal axis, placing in a back or front state depending on which side you're facing when placed
• Stairs match vanilla behavior (facing and auto-corner shapes) and connect seamlessly with vanilla Stairs
• Walls visually connect to custom Walls, vanilla Walls, Vertical Slabs, Vertical Stairs, and custom Stairs, but only on the side where that block's face is full; non-full faces don't connect

Known Issues

• Grass does not turn into Dirt when a custom Slab or Stairs (non-vertical) is placed on top of it
• Connections between custom Walls and vanilla Walls sometimes don't line up correctly; this can be fixed by breaking and placing the Wall again
• Custom Walls do not yet connect to vanilla Stairs; this is still in development

What's Next?

• More Stone materials, and other blocks that can be expanded on, planned for future updates
• Improved Wall connections with vanilla Stairs
• Fences for Mosaic and Herringbone wood patterns
• Face culling for Walls
