The Boring Vanilla Grind
Yo, what is up guys? Let us be totally honest for a second. Mining in vanilla Minecraft gets incredibly boring after your first few hours. You just grab your pickaxe, go down to y-level negative 59, and hold the left click button while staring at a wall of deepslate for straight up two hours. Maybe you find some diamonds, but mostly you are just filling your inventory with useless cobblestone and gravel. There is no real excitement, no surprise, and definitely no adrenaline rush. I was completely sick of falling asleep while strip mining, so I decided to completely change how the underground game works. Welcome to the Mining Fortune add-on. I have turned regular mining into a highly addictive, rewarding, and insane progression system.
How The Economy Actually Works
Instead of just breaking blocks for the same old drops, every single ore you mine now gives you custom Coins and XP. I am talking about a full custom economy built right into your survival world without needing any command blocks or weird setups. Basic ores like coal and copper will give you a steady stream of small coins, but if you hit the jackpot and find Ancient Debris or Diamonds, you get massive payouts. You do not even need to craft any weird custom pickaxes for this to work. You just use your normal vanilla gear, go mining, and watch your coin balance go up instantly on your screen.
The Secret Upgrade Menu
So what do you actually do with all these coins? You upgrade your stats, bro. To open the main custom UI menu, all you have to do is hold a normal vanilla book in your hand and crouch (sneak). That is literally it. A massive menu pops up on your screen. From here, you can see your exact mining level, your total XP, your current coin balance, and a crazy detailed stats page that tracks exactly how many of each ore you have mined. But the most important part of this menu is the Upgrades section, where the real fun begins.
Upgrading Fortune and Luck
There are two main skill paths you can dump your hard-earned coins into: Fortune and Luck.
If you upgrade your Fortune level (which goes all the way up to level 20), you increase your chance to get double or extra coin drops from every single ore you break. At max level, you are basically guaranteed to get rich quick.
But Luck is where things get completely insane. Upgrading your Luck level increases your overall chance of hitting a massive Jackpot.
Hitting The Mega Jackpots
This is my absolute favorite feature in the entire pack. When you are mining, there is a random chance you trigger a Jackpot based on your Luck level. A normal Jackpot multiplies your coin and XP drop by 5 to 10 times instantly. Your screen will flash, a custom sound plays, and you feel like an absolute boss.
But if you are extremely lucky, you might hit a MEGA Jackpot. A Mega Jackpot multiplies your drop by 10 to 20 times! When this happens, the game literally announces it in the global chat to every single player on the server so you can flex your crazy luck. It makes finding a single diamond block feel like you just won the lottery.
Special Events and Night Bonuses
I wanted to add more strategy to the grind, so I coded in some crazy bonuses. First, if you decide to go mining at night time (when the surface is dangerous and mobs are spawning), you get an automatic 25% bonus to all your coins and XP. It rewards you for staying up late in the game.
Also, every 30 minutes or so, there is a random chance for a "Double Fortune Event" to trigger for the whole server. For 5 minutes straight, absolutely everything you mine gives double coins and double XP. When this event happens, you and your friends will literally be scrambling to mine as much as possible before the timer runs out. Oh, and if you are ever completely broke, you can claim free coins from the menu every 10 minutes to help you get your next upgrade.
Milestones and Flexing Your Stats
If you are a hardcore grinder, I got you covered. The add-on tracks your total ores mined and gives you massive bonus coin rewards when you hit milestones like 100, 500, or 1000 ores. There are even some hidden easter egg milestones, but I will let you discover those yourself. You can open your stats page at any time to see your average coins per ore, your biggest jackpot ever, and your rarest find to flex on your friends.
