MiniMap is a lightweight, script-based addon that adds a fully functional real-time minimap to Minecraft Bedrock Edition. It reads the actual blocks around you and renders them as a live, color-accurate map in the corner of your screen — complete with biome-aware terrain shading and a rotating player direction marker. No Beta APIs, no commands, no setup — just enable and explore.

🗺️ Live Terrain Map

The minimap reads the actual topmost blocks around you in real time and renders them as colored tiles — grass, sand, stone, water, snow, ores, wood, wool, terracotta, and dozens more block types each get their own accurate color, so the map always reflects the real world beneath your feet.

🌿 Biome-Accurate Shading

Grass and foliage tint dynamically based on the biome you're standing in — swamps render a dull, dark olive green, jungles a vivid saturated green, savannas a warm yellow-green, and badlands/deserts a sun-baked tone, just like the terrain actually looks in-game.

🧭 Player Direction Marker

A marker icon sits at the center of the map and rotates to match the direction you're facing, so you always know which way is north, south, east, or west at a glance.

⚡ Fast, Stable Loading

Terrain data is scanned and cached in the background using an optimized chunk-based system, so the visible map area fills in quickly and stays smooth whether you're walking, sprinting, or exploring — without stutters or blank tiles.

🚫 Zero Beta APIs

Built entirely on stable Script API features — no Beta APIs experiment needs to be enabled in your world settings. It works out of the box on any survival world.

⚙️ HOW IT WORKS

1) Script-Based Terrain Scanner: Uses the Bedrock Script API to continuously sample the topmost block around each player and cache its color.

2) Color Resolution Table: A comprehensive built-in color table covers hundreds of block types, with biome-based tinting applied to grass and foliage for realistic variation.

3) Live HUD Rendering: Cached terrain data is encoded and streamed to a custom HUD panel every tick, rendering it as a scrolling grid of colored tiles centered on the player.

4) Survival Friendly: Works naturally in survival mode with zero commands or configuration — just apply both packs and play.

5) Multiplayer Compatible: Each player gets their own independently tracked minimap.
