๐พ Protected Pets
- ๐บ Wolf
- ๐ฑ Cat
- ๐ด Horse
- ๐ซ Donkey
- ๐ด Mule
- ๐ฆ Parrot
๐ก๏ธ Intentionally Blocked — Player-Caused Damage
These sources are blocked by design, as they are typically caused by players:
- โ๏ธ entity_attack — Direct player hits
- ๐ฅ block_explosion — Beds in Nether/End, Respawn Anchor
- ๐ฅ entity_explosion — TNT placed by players
- ๐น projectile — Arrows, tridents, snowballs
- ๐งช magic — Splash & lingering potions
- ๐ฅ fire / fire_tick / campfire — Player-placed fire
- ๐ drowning / lava — Player-built traps
- ๐งฑ suffocation — Block traps
- ๐ณ๏ธ void — Pushing pets into the void
- โ๏ธ freezing / contact — Powder snow and cactus traps
- ๐ชจ stalactite / stalagmite — Cave traps
โ ๏ธ Technical Limitations
Bedrock 1.26+ removed entity filters from damage_sensor, making it impossible to distinguish who caused the damage. As a side effect, the following mob-caused damage is also blocked:
- โ๏ธ Mob attacks — Zombies, skeletons, and other mobs cannot hit your pet directly
- ๐ฅ Creeper & Ghast explosions — Blocked alongside TNT via entity_explosion
- ๐ Wither effect — Blocked whether caused by a potion or the Wither boss
โ๏ธ How It Works
No scripts. No player.json edits. Uses the vanilla damage_sensor component inside each entity's tamed component group. Protection only activates after taming — wild animals behave normally.
