MaxTorch - V1.1.0.mcaddon
What's new
Changelog - MaxTorch Addon
[1.1.0]
Script Architecture
- New Structure:
BP/scriptsis now split intoapi/(addon framework:Logger,DynamicStore,BlockRegistry,SpawnBlocker,ParticleEmitter,LoreSystem) andmodules/(one file per block:megatorch.js,dreadlamp.js,feral_flare_lantern.js), withmain.jsas the single entry point. - Explicit Initialization: API files no longer subscribe to events when imported;
main.jsimports the modules and then calls eachinit*()function.
Bug Fixes
- Existing Mobs No Longer Deleted: Mega Torch and Dread Lamp now only affect naturally spawned entities. Mobs loaded with chunks, bred, converted or spawned by events (pets, farm animals, villagers, horses with chests) are no longer removed.
- Spawn Eggs: Mobs spawned with a spawn egg near a Mega Torch or Dread Lamp are no longer removed.
- Dread Lamp Scope: Replaced the broad "mob" family check with an explicit list of naturally spawning passive animals. Villagers, golems, wandering traders, allays and armor stands are no longer affected.
- Protected Bosses: Mega Torch no longer removes the Wither, the Ender Dragon or Elder Guardians.
- Ghost Blocks: Blocks are now tracked through the
lsmt:tracked_blockcustom component, so explosions,/setblockand/fill(destroy mode) also unregister them. A periodic validation removes any remaining entry whose block no longer exists, so stale protection zones and floating particles are gone. - Duplicate Entries: Placing a block at a position that is already registered no longer creates a duplicate entry.
- Storage Limit: Each block is now saved in its own dynamic property instead of a single JSON array, removing the ~32 KB limit that could stop the addon from saving with many Feral Flare Lanterns. Existing 1.0.x data is migrated automatically.
- Feral Flare Lantern Coverage: Positions skipped because their chunk was not loaded are now retried with a delayed rescan instead of being ignored forever.
- Feral Flare Lantern Cleanup: Lights in unloaded chunks when a lantern is removed are remembered and cleared once those chunks load.
- Feral Flare Lantern Supports: Support detection now uses exact block IDs (1.21+ names included) instead of prefix matching, which misidentified blocks such as fire coral or torchflowers.
- Scan Progress: Lantern scan progress is now saved periodically, so it is not lost when the world is closed.
Blocks and Resources
- Mining Time: Blocks no longer break instantly (Mega Torch 1 s, Dread Lamp 3 s, Feral Flare Lantern 0.5 s).
- Pistons: All blocks are now immovable, preventing pistons from desynchronizing their saved positions.
- Lighting: Added
minecraft:light_dampening: 0so the blocks no longer cast dark shadows. - Manifests: Added pack descriptions, removed the unused
pbrcapability and aligned the crafting catalogformat_versionwith the pack target (1.26.0).
Localization
- Client-Side Lore: Item lore now uses translation keys (
lsmt.lore.*), so each player sees it in their own game language, even in multiplayer. - All Languages: Lore is now translated into all 14 supported languages (Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian and Chinese were missing).
Optimization and Performance
- Event-Driven Lore: Lore is updated when a player's inventory changes instead of scanning every inventory every second.
- Faster Lantern Scan: Feral Flare Lanterns finish their light placement in about 45 seconds instead of about 4 minutes.
- Cheaper Checks: Player positions for particles are computed once per emission cycle, and spawn checks use squared distances and skip items, arrows and XP orbs.
Debugging
- Log Level: Errors are now shown by default (level 1). Use
/scriptevent lsmt:log_level <0-3>to change the verbosity.
