What it does
Mastery adds skill-based progression to survival. Earn experience as you play, spend skill points, and develop your character across twelve persistent skills — each with twenty levels — that unlock equipment, activities, and bonuses as you grow.
Features
- Twelve skills: Health, Strength, Agility, Defense, Stamina, Luck, Archery, Trade, Smithing, Mining, Farming, and Alchemy.
- Twenty levels per skill with persistent player progression.
- Skill bonuses for combat, movement, health, hunger, farming, mining, trading, smithing, brewing, and more.
- Level requirements for equipment, blocks, entities, mining, brewing, and smithing — under-level players can still break restricted mining blocks, but receive no drops.
- A custom Mastery interface opened from the SepWorks Mastery book: check your skills, spend points, and see what unlocks next.
- Every player receives the Mastery book on first join and after every death; craft another book from one normal book.
- Works alongside SepWorks Sustenance as an optional companion (shared book navigation).
How to use
- Import the .mcaddon and activate both the behavior pack and the resource pack in your world.
- Place the behavior pack high enough in the stack to avoid another addon replacing its player definition.
- Join the world — you receive the Mastery book automatically (or run
/sepworks:mastery). - Open the book to spend skill points and check unlocks.
Compatibility
- Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, game versions 26.50 and 26.40 (original release 1.0.7, 11 Oct 2026; min engine 1.26.0).
- Single player and multiplayer. No Beta APIs and no experimental toggles required.
- Note: Mastery modifies the player entity to provide skill-based health values, so addons that also replace
minecraft:playermay conflict unless their player definitions are merged. Back up an existing world before updating or changing addon stacks.
Changelog
- 1.0.7 — Initial SepWorks release for Bedrock 26.50 and 26.40.
