Description

Magus

Magus is a Minecraft Bedrock magic addon built around learning and mastering increasingly powerful spells.

Instead of giving the player every ability immediately, Magus uses a level and quest progression system. Cast spells, defeat enemies, earn Magus XP, level up and complete trials to unlock new magic.

Current Spells

Arc Bolt

Your starting offensive spell.

Fires a fast arcane projectile with custom casting, travel and impact effects.

Force Grip

A telekinetic control spell.

Aim toward a mob to grab it with the force. The target can be suspended and moved in front of the caster before being thrown.

If no suitable target is selected, the spell can instead produce a defensive force burst that pushes nearby enemies away.

Ember Lance

A stronger ranged fire spell.

Launches a high-damage magical fire lance that ignites enemies and uses dedicated casting, projectile and impact VFX.

Ice Impale

Causes a large ice formation to violently erupt from the ground.

A tall central ice spear rises upward with surrounding secondary spikes, frost mist and crystal fragments. Enemies caught by the eruption take damage and are slowed.

Meteor Summon

One of Magus's strongest current spells.

Marks an area before summoning a massive meteor from above. The meteor falls toward the selected location and creates a large impact, fire, debris and explosion effect.

Progression

Magus currently progresses through:

Arc Bolt → Force Grip → Ember Lance → Ice Impale → Meteor Summon

Unlocks require a combination of:

• Magus Levels

• Magus XP

• Spell usage

• Combat

• Quest completion

Your progression and unlocked spells persist between sessions.

Arcane Clothing

Magus also includes a complete custom wizard outfit:

• Arcane Wizard's Hat

• Arcane Wizard's Robes

• Arcane Wizard's Cloak

• Arcane Wizard's Boots

These use custom modeled wearable geometry rather than standard flat armor textures.

Controls

Use Casting Focus
Cast your currently selected spell.

Sneak + Use Casting Focus
Cycle through unlocked spells.

Use Apprentice Grimoire
View your Magus Level, XP, selected spell, unlocked spells and current quest.

VFX

Magus uses custom VFX entities, animated geometry and custom particles rather than relying only on vanilla Minecraft particles.

Spells have dedicated effects for casting, active/travel states and impacts, with larger spells receiving significantly more elaborate effects.
