Description

Locusta – Horror Add-on for Minecraft Bedrock

⚠️ Warning: this add-on contains jumpscares, loud sounds, blood, and chase sequences. It is not recommended for younger players or anyone sensitive to horror. Headphones are recommended for the full experience.

📖 What is Locusta?

Locusta is a horror add-on that adds a tall, unsettling creature that hunts the player. It doesn't spawn like a normal mob. The Locusta comes out of a television, and you never know when it will show up.

The goal is to make your world feel watched. You could be building, mining, or exploring, and something might be looking at you.

📺 The TV

A mysterious television can appear in your world. When you get close to it or interact with it, a sequence begins:

The TV turns on, with its own picture and sound.

The Locusta crawls out of the TV with an emerging animation.

The TV is left broken after it comes out.

From then on, the Locusta hunts you.

👹 The Locusta

A tall creature with a custom 3D model, textures, and animations.

Chases the player across the world.

Plays chase music while it is hunting you.

When it catches you, a execution cutscene plays, with camera work, animation, and blood.

After it kills the player, the Locusta and the TV it came from disappear, with smoke and sparks.

👁️ Distant Watcher (new in v1.10)

Besides the TV, the Locusta can also appear on its own, with no TV needed:

Every 3 to 10 minutes (random), a Locusta may appear standing still, far away, 100 to 200 blocks from you, staring at you.

It appears off-screen, to the side, so you only notice it if you turn around and look.

It only appears where you would have a clear line of sight to it.

If you look at it, it vanishes instantly, plays a scary Herobrine-style sound, and your screen briefly goes dark.

If nobody looks at it, it disappears on its own after about 2 minutes.

It will not appear during the TV sequence or while you are being chased.

For it to appear at that distance, your world's render/simulation distance must be high enough.

🪟 Window Watchers

The add-on also includes Locustas that stand still and watch you, like the ones seen in windows. They don't chase you, they only observe.

🎵 Audio
