Evolving Tools

 

Ever wished your pickaxe actually grew with you? Evolving Tools adds a lightweight XP and leveling system to mining — the more you dig, the stronger your pickaxe gets.

 

⛏️ Vanilla Pickaxe Leveling

Every pickaxe (wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond, netherite) tracks its own XP as you mine with it. Level up (max Lv.10) to unlock:

- Lv.1 — Chance to save durability on break

- Lv.5 — Increased mining speed (Haste)

- Lv.10 — Bonus drop chance

 

Each pickaxe levels up individually — a well-used tool becomes genuinely more valuable than a fresh one.

 

🔮 The Ancient Pickaxe

A brand-new custom tool with its own artwork, craftable early game but not cheap:

The Ancient Pickaxe has a much steeper XP curve and a max level of 50. As it levels up, its bonuses scale far beyond the standard system:

- Durability save chance climbing toward ~95%

- Mining speed up to Haste IV

- Luck bonus up to +50% extra drops

- Bonus melee damage at higher levels

 

By the time it reaches Level 50, it functionally surpasses netherite — turning a modest early-game investment into a genuine long-term goal.

📦 Installation

1. Download and open the .mcaddon file — Minecraft will import it automatically

2. In your world settings, activate both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack

3. Enable Beta APIs (Experimental) in world settings — required for the scripting system to work
