Java Utility is a script-based addon that brings the iconic combat system of Minecraft Java Edition to Bedrock Edition. It recreates accurate damage values, sweeping edge attacks, critical hit mechanics, and immersive sound effects — making combat more skill-based, balanced, and satisfying.

⚔️ COMBAT FEATURES

🌪️ Sweeping Edge

Swords can now perform sweeping attacks just like Java Edition. When you attack with a fully charged swing, nearby enemies take area damage — making crowd fights more strategic and powerful.

Sweep radius scales per sword tier: Wood/Gold 2.5 → Stone 2.8 → Iron 3.0 → Diamond 3.3 → Netherite 3.6 blocks

💥 Critical Hit System

Attack while falling to perform a critical hit. Just like Java Edition, well-timed jumps reward you with 1.5× bonus damage, custom particles, and a distinct impact sound.

⏱️ Attack Cooldown System

Combat is no longer based on fast clicking. Each sword attack follows a 12-tick (~0.6 second) cooldown matching Java Edition — sweeping edge only activates on a fully charged swing.

Impact: Balanced PvE combat  ·  More strategic battles  ·  No spam clicking

🔊 Immersive Sound & Effects

Custom sounds and particles make every hit feel powerful. Sweeping attacks and critical strikes trigger unique audio and visual feedback — 7 sweep sound variants and 6 critical hit sound variants play randomly.

⚙️ Java Damage Override

Every weapon now deals Java-accurate damage. Axes are significantly buffed, hoes are nerfed to 1 damage across all tiers — exactly matching Java Edition's weapon balance.

🏷️ Weapon Damage Tooltips

Every weapon in your inventory automatically gets a lore line showing both the Bedrock damage and Java damage values — so you always know exactly what your weapon deals.

💬 Real-Time Damage Notification

Every hit shows a red chat message with the exact damage dealt, keeping combat transparent and easy to track.

⚙️ HOW IT WORKS

1) Script-Based Combat Engine: Uses Bedrock Script API to hook into every entity hit event and apply Java-accurate damage, sweep logic, and critical hit detection in real time.

2) Java Damage Override: On every melee hit, the addon reads your mainhand weapon, undoes Bedrock's native damage, then applies the correct Java value — with no recursion issues.

3) Sword Tier Balance: Different sword tiers have unique sweep radii (2.5 to 3.6 blocks) for better gameplay balance matching Java Edition behavior.

4) Survival Friendly: Works naturally in survival mode without any commands or setup.

5) Multiplayer Compatible: Designed to work smoothly in multiplayer worlds with per-player tracking.
