Description

Infinite One Blocks

You spawn on a single grass block in an empty void world. In front of you runs a line of blocks, one after another, and every block you break on it comes straight back. You never run out of anything, so the whole challenge is working out how to get from nothing to the Ender Dragon.

The Block Line

  • Starts at spawn. The line runs along the X axis at height 64. It is one block, then a 2-block gap, then the next block. Sprint-jump the gaps or bridge them.
  • Grass block is always first. It is the block you spawn on and the one you respawn on after dying.
  • Every obtainable block. The line holds nearly every block you can get in survival.
  • Shuffled order. The order is shuffled once, saved with your world, and never changes. Each world gets its own line.
  • Always comes back. Mining, exploding or pushing a line block with a piston makes it regenerate straight away.
  • Safe to mine. Standing on a block while you mine it won't drop you into the void.
  • A second line in the Nether. The Nether has its own line, starting with netherrack and made only of Nether blocks.

Structures

Strongholds (Overworld), Bastion Remnants and Nether Fortresses (Nether) are placed within 5,000 blocks of spawn. Use /debug to see what has generated.

How to Beat It

The goal is to defeat the Ender Dragon. Here is the simplest route.

  1. Get tools. Walk the line and collect logs, then stone, coal and iron ore. Craft a furnace, then an iron pickaxe and a bucket. Keep walking until you find diamond ore, then craft a diamond pickaxe.
  2. Keep food on hand. Hay bales (craft into bread) and melon blocks are the easiest sources. Breaking grass gives seeds if you want a farm.
  3. Collect for the Nether. Mine at least 10 obsidian, and get flint from gravel and an iron ingot for flint and steel. Place the blocks yourself and light the portal.
  4. Get blaze rods. Blazes spawn anywhere in the dark in the Nether, so build a dark platform and wait. Nether Fortresses are faster. You need 6 rods or more for 12 eyes.
  5. Get ender pearls. You need 12 or more. Barter gold ingots with piglins in a Bastion Remnant (they also have chests), or fight endermen at night in the Overworld.
  6. Craft 12 Eyes of Ender. Each takes one pearl and one blaze powder. Every stronghold portal frame starts empty, so you need all 12.
  7. Find the stronghold. Use an Eye of Ender and follow its purple trail. It is only a pointer and is rarely used up. The nearest stronghold is hundreds of blocks away over void. Bring several stacks of cheap blocks and bridge in a straight line.
  8. Enter the End. Fill the portal frames and jump in. Watch for a mob spawner room in the stronghold.
  9. Kill the dragon. The End is void. Bring a lot of blocks, a water bucket, and a weapon. No need to break the crystals first.

Requirements

Minecraft Bedrock 26.0 or newer, applied to a new world as a behavior pack.
