IKRN Security Core

A large-scale security and defense addon featuring cameras, access control, lasers, turrets, drones, missiles, tanks, elevators, and more.

IKRN Security Core

IKRN Security Core is a large-scale security, military technology, surveillance, access-control, and facility-management addon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Instead of adding only a few decorative security blocks, IKRN Security Core provides interconnected systems designed for actual bases, survival worlds, multiplayer facilities, airports, military installations, laboratories, prisons, bunkers, checkpoints, underground facilities, vehicle garages, and large technical builds.

Build security networks, manage access permissions, create programmable keycards, monitor cameras, deploy security guards, create security zones, configure automated alarm scenarios, operate defensive weapons, deploy drones and tanks, launch missiles, request orbital strikes, and construct working elevator systems.

The addon includes both English and Japanese localization.

IKRN Security Core uses Stable Script APIs and does not require Minecraft Experimental Gameplay.

────────────────────────────
LATEST UPDATE — v1.8.103
────────────────────────────

Major recent changes include:

• Major fixed-elevator passenger transport improvements
• Physical moving elevator floor system
• Improved player camera freedom while travelling
• Reduced cases where players fall through or are left behind by elevators
• Improved elevator floor collision to reduce players' feet clipping into the floor
• Existing elevators preserve their previously saved position and orientation
• New elevator placement rules are only applied to newly created elevators
• Metal Detector Gate prohibited-item detection
• Direct linked-door locking on detection
• Automatic opening when a player passes inspection
• Optional prohibited-item confiscation
• Armor and offhand scanning
• More irregular and natural missile crater generation
• Increased crater shape noise and variation
• Faster missile terrain-destruction processing
• Tactical Cruise Missile impact behavior improvements
• Security Dashboard added to the Security Controller
• Security Network display names can now be changed without changing the internal Network ID

────────────────────────────
COMMUNITY FEEDBACK & REQUEST STATUS
────────────────────────────

Many recent changes were made directly in response to comments and bug reports from players.

IMPLEMENTED — Airport Metal Detector / Security Checkpoint

A player requested a Metal Detector Gate setup suitable for an airport security checkpoint.

The requested behavior is now supported.

The Metal Detector Gate can:

• Detect metal items
• Detect specifically configured prohibited items
• Scan the normal inventory
• Scan armor
• Scan the offhand
• Trigger a network alarm
• Trigger a network lockdown
• Directly close and lock a linked security door
• Automatically open the linked door when the player passes inspection
• Optionally confiscate configured prohibited items

The prohibited-item list is separate from the additional-metal-item configuration.

This means you can, for example, configure a specific item such as TNT or another restricted item as prohibited without treating every detected metal item as confiscated contraband.

Automatic confiscation is optional.

Metal items that are only detected as metal are not automatically removed unless they are also configured as prohibited items.

IMPLEMENTED — More Natural Missile Craters

A player reported that missile craters looked too mathematically perfect and reduced immersion.

Missile terrain destruction has been redesigned to produce more irregular craters while preserving approximately the same destructive scale.

Crater generation now includes:

• Irregular outer edges
• Large-scale radius variation
• Smaller local surface variation
• Uneven crater depth
• Randomized edge damage
• Different crater shapes between separate impacts

The goal is to keep the size and power of strategic missiles while making their terrain destruction look less artificially circular.

IMPROVED — Tactical Cruise Missile Impact

The Tactical Cruise Missile could occasionally remain near the ground for several seconds before detonating.

Impact handling has been changed so the missile no longer needs to wait for the entire crater area to be prepared before the actual detonation occurs.

Terrain destruction processing has also been changed to reduce the visible effect of the ground being removed one horizontal layer at a time.

Large missile impacts should now form their crater much more quickly.

IMPROVED — Camera Exit Recovery

A player reported that after leaving a security camera, movement and inventory controls could occasionally remain unusable until rejoining the world.

Camera-exit cleanup and player-control recovery have been reinforced.

The system now performs additional cleanup when leaving camera mode in order to reduce cases where camera, input, or FOV state remains active.

If this problem still occurs in the current version, please report the exact camera type and reproduction steps.

IMPROVED — Elevator Passenger System

A player reported repeatedly falling out of the elevator during travel.

The fixed-elevator passenger system has since been heavily reworked.

The current system uses a physical moving floor underneath the passenger instead of relying primarily on repeatedly forcing the player's position.

Recent elevator improvements include:

• Physical moving floor
• Improved upward and downward passenger transport
• Free camera movement during travel
• Reduced forced player-position synchronization
• Improved floor collision
• Reduced fall-through behavior
• Improved obstruction handling
• Better compatibility with existing elevator installations

Existing elevators are intentionally protected from new placement changes.

Elevators already stored in a world retain their saved position and orientation.

New placement behavior is only applied when a new elevator installation is created.

This is intended to prevent existing elevator shafts and technical builds from being broken by updates.

IMPLEMENTED — Creative Infinite Battery

A Creative-only infinite drone battery has been added.

It can be used for Creative-mode testing and installations where normal battery limits are not desired.

IMPLEMENTED — Unlimited-Range Recon Drone

A Creative-only Unlimited-Range Recon Drone is included.

It provides:

• Unlimited flight time
• Unlimited battery duration
• Unlimited communication range

It is separate from the normal Survival drone progression.

USAGE CLARIFICATION — Drone Controller and Drone Dock

A player asked how to connect a controller to a Drone Dock.

The Drone Controller does not need to be directly paired to the Dock.

Instead:

1. Connect the Drone Dock to a Security Network.
2. Use the Drone Controller through a compatible device connected to that network.
3. The controller can then access available drone facilities registered to the same security system.

USAGE CLARIFICATION — Protected Device Ownership

Being a Minecraft Operator does not automatically bypass IKRN Security Core ownership protection.

For Security Core administrator access, use:

/tag @s add ikscop

The ikscop tag allows administrators to manage or remove protected Security Core devices regardless of their recorded owner.

Only give this tag to trusted administrators.

DOCUMENTATION

An English / Japanese manual for the major addon systems is available separately.

It covers systems such as:

• Security Networks
• Cameras
• Doors
• Keycards
• Drones
• Missiles
• Tanks
• Elevators
• Administrator controls

Additional documentation will continue to be expanded.

CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION — Invisible Creative Inventory Icons

A player reported that some custom blocks or items may appear transparent inside the Creative inventory even though the placed block renders correctly.

This issue is currently being investigated.

Possible areas include item-display resources, block item rendering, textures, and related client-side definitions.

REQUESTED / NOT YET IMPLEMENTED — Security Guard Target Expansion

Players have requested that Security Guards support a wider set of attack targets, including hostile mobs rather than focusing primarily on unauthorized players.

Expanded Security Guard target-selection behavior is being considered for a future update.

REQUESTED / NOT YET IMPLEMENTED — Improved Turret and Guard Tracking

Players have requested stronger target tracking for Turrets and Security Guards so moving targets cannot avoid attacks as easily.

This is being considered.

The goal would be to improve tracking without simply turning every defensive system into unavoidable guaranteed-hit damage.

REQUESTED / NOT YET IMPLEMENTED — Dedicated Elevator Doors

Dedicated elevator doors separate from the existing Camouflage Door integration have been requested.

The intended design would allow purpose-built elevator doors to automatically react to:

• Elevator arrival
• Elevator departure

Instead of producing nearly perfect circular craters every time, the system applies multiple types of shape variation.

This includes:

• Large outer-radius variation
• Medium surface variation
• Local random edge noise
• Depth variation
• Irregular crater boundaries
• Different results for separate impacts

The approximate destructive scale of each missile remains similar.

Terrain-destruction scheduling has also been improved.

BETA NOTICE

The elevator systems are currently considered Beta features.

They are functional, but complex installations may still expose bugs or unexpected behavior.

"Beta" refers only to the development and stability status of the elevator feature.

It does NOT mean that Minecraft Beta APIs, Experimental Gameplay, Holiday Creator Features, Upcoming Creator Features, or other experimental creator features are required.

IKRN Security Core uses Stable Script APIs.

Elevator Compatibility

Existing elevators preserve their saved position and orientation.

Updates do not intentionally force existing installations to adopt the newest placement geometry.

New elevator placement behavior is applied only when a new elevator is created.

This helps protect older shafts and technical builds from being broken by placement changes.

Simple Elevator Pad

Simple floor-to-floor transport system.

Elevator Pads placed at matching horizontal positions can be used to move between floors without requiring a complete elevator cabin.

Fixed Elevator

Standard fixed elevator system.

Features include:

• Functional moving elevator cabin
• Physical passenger floor
• Internal control panel
• Multiple registered floors
• Floor configuration
• Movement-speed configuration
• Administrator-only floors

The locator beam can be enabled or disabled through elevator configuration.

Access is restricted to the elevator owner or authorized ikscop administrators.

────────────────────────────
ELEVATOR / CAMOUFLAGE DOOR INTEGRATION
────────────────────────────

Elevator floors can be linked with compatible Camouflage Doors.

Linked doors can react to:

• Elevator arrival
• Elevator departure
• Elevator stopping
• Configurable door timing

Security conditions remain authoritative.

A linked elevator door will not bypass Security Network restrictions such as lockdown conditions.

Dedicated purpose-built elevator doors have been requested but are not yet implemented.

────────────────────────────
CUSTOM ELEVATOR
────────────────────────────

The Custom Elevator allows players to select an actual block-built structure and operate it as an elevator cabin.

Custom Elevators support:

• Up to 32 registered floors
• Up to 12 blocks per selected axis
• Up to 512 blocks of selection volume
• Up to 384 actual selected blocks
• Custom floor configuration

Whole-Structure Movement

The current Custom Elevator moves the registered structure using complete block-position movement.

The elevator advances using 1-block movement steps rather than experimental sub-block structure movement.

Movement speed is controlled by changing the interval between complete movement steps.

Before each step, the elevator checks whether the next position can be used.

If the movement path becomes obstructed, the elevator can stop instead of continuing through the obstruction.

MULTIPLAYER
────────────────────────────

IKRN Security Core is designed around security networks, permissions, access-control systems, defensive infrastructure, and large multiplayer facilities.

Different players can be assigned different access permissions and security levels.

Possible environments include:

• Survival servers
• Multiplayer bases
• Airports
• Military facilities
• Laboratories
• Prisons
• Bunkers
• Roleplay facilities
• Technical installations
• Checkpoints
• Underground complexes

IMPORTANT NOTES
────────────────────────────

Some high-power weapons can cause significant terrain destruction when terrain destruction is enabled.

Large missile attacks, orbital strikes, railgun attacks, tanks, and complex security installations can place greater load on a world than normal vanilla gameplay.

Very large terrain-destruction operations can still require multiple processing steps internally, especially when unloaded chunks are involved.

Back up important worlds before experimenting with destructive strategic weapons.

The Elevator System is currently a Beta feature and may still contain bugs in unusual or complex installations.

The elevator Beta status does not mean Minecraft Experimental Gameplay is required.

Some custom Creative inventory icons may currently appear transparent even when the placed block itself renders correctly. This issue is under investigation.

Other addons, unusual server configurations, or different input devices may affect behavior.

For elevator reports, please also include:

Not every feature request can be implemented, but requests that fit the direction of the addon may be considered for future updates.
