Idle Generators v1.3.0
What's new
⚙️ Idle Generators v1.3.0 — "Automation & Control"
Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.30+ · Behavior Pack + Resource Pack both required · English & Español
⚠️ This release raises the minimum game version
Idle Generators now needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.30 or newer. Every earlier version — including 1.21.130, which was the minimum for all previous releases — cannot run this file.
The reason is the new settings screen. It relies on a pack manifest format and a scripting API that simply do not exist before 1.26.30, so there is no way to offer it on older engines.
Still on an older version? Nothing is lost: v1.2.1 stays available on this page and keeps working exactly as it does today. Bedrock updates itself on every platform, so most players are already on a supported version without doing anything.
Would you actually use a 1.21.130 build? Ask for it in the comments. The addon is written so an older-engine edition can be produced from the very same code — just without the settings screen. If there is real demand, it can be published.
✨ New
- 🎨 The Colors Set — 16 new dye generators, one for every color in the game (48 generators total). Never farm flowers, cactus or squids for color again: infinite dyes for terracotta, glass, concrete and wool. All 16 recipes share one layout — glass corners, bone meal on the sides, that color's natural source on top and bottom (bone, ink sac, poppy, cactus, cocoa beans…), and the dye itself in the center.
- 🎛️ Switch whole generator packs on or off before you even enter the world. In your world settings open Behavior Packs → Idle Generators → the gear icon, and turn Ores, Woods, Stones or Colors on or off. No commands, no need to be in game — ideal if you only want part of the addon.
- 🔀 A switch for every single generator.
/idlegen:configopens a redesigned settings menu: one page per pack with an on/off switch per generator, a quick action to flip a whole pack at once, production details on hover, and live active counters (with each pack's icon) on the main menu. Esc steps back instead of closing everything. Operators only. - 📦 Auto-output. Put a container directly below a generator — chest, barrel, hopper, dropper, dispenser or shulker box — and it empties the buffer for you. Redstone-locked hoppers are skipped, exactly like vanilla.
- 🧊 Readable inventory icons. Generator blocks in the inventory and hotbar now show the resource inside the glass much bigger, so you can tell them apart at a glance. Placed generators look exactly the same as always.
- 🏆 Achievements stay enabled. The new settings screen and the config command need no experimental toggles and no cheats, so your world keeps its achievements.
🔧 Changed
- 🏷️ Pack names now display their version — "Idle Generators 1.3.0" — so you can always tell which copy is which after updating.
- 🧩 Activation: activate the Behavior Pack — the Resource Pack joins automatically. (Activating only the Resource Pack no longer drags the Behavior Pack in.)
- 🏷️ The command is now
/idlegen:config(previously/idleoregen:config) — the addon has been called Idle Generators since v1.1.0. - 🧹 Orphan cleanup. Generators destroyed by pistons,
/setblockor world-edit tools no longer leave stored data behind or a floating visual entity.
🛡️ Turning a generator off is safe
A generator that is off keeps its block and keeps whatever it already produced — you can still withdraw that buffer by hand or through automation. It just stops producing and stops accruing in the background, so switching a pack off for a week and back on never hands you a week of free resources.
The two layers stack: the pack switch gates its generators, and your individual choices are remembered underneath. Turn a pack back on and everything returns exactly as you left it.
Enjoy idle resource generation! Found a bug or have a suggestion? Leave a comment — feedback is always welcome. 🌟
