Hzoom Lenz is a camera zoom addon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, primarily designed for mobile players.
It uses the built-in camera FOV commands to provide smooth zoom transitions through the sneak button, making zoom easier to access without relying on external macros or keyboard shortcuts.
Smooth Zoom Transitions ➢ Zoom in and out with "in_out_cubic" easing.
Mobile-Friendly Controls ➢ Activate zoom using the sneak button.
Two Zoom Modes ➢ Choose between Hold and Toggle modes.
Adjustable Zoom Duration ➢ Customize the transition time using an in-game command.
Dynamic FOV Restoration ➢ Restore your previous FOV using "fov_clear" instead of forcing a fixed default value.
Set the zoom transition duration: /scriptevent hzoom:time x.xx
Set the zoom mode to Hold: /scriptevent hzoom:mode hold
Set the zoom mode to Toggle: /scriptevent hzoom:mode toggle
Why Hzoom Lenz?
Keyboard players can already achieve similar zoom functionality without Hzoom Lenz. By using Minecraft's built-in camera commands through a keyboard macro, they can create smooth zoom-in and zoom-out transitions without installing this addon.
However, mobile players don't have the same convenient access to physical keyboard macros.
That's where Hzoom Lenz comes in. It brings a similar Java-style zoom experience to Minecraft Bedrock Edition, with sneak-based controls designed for mobile players. Instead of relying on external keyboard macros, you can activate zoom directly through the in-game sneak button.
Hzoom Lenz doesn't introduce an entirely new camera capability. It makes existing camera functionality more accessible, especially for players who primarily play on mobile devices.
Keyboard players can also recreate the same zoom behavior using their own shortcuts, although this requires cheats and a compatible macro setup.
