RR Horde Nights v2.0.0 - The Ultimate Zombie Survival Experience

Hey everyone! Let's be completely honest about vanilla Minecraft: the nights are simply not scary anymore. When you first start playing the game, your first night in a dirt hut feels terrifying. But the exact moment you craft a bed, a shield, and a basic set of iron armor, the monsters become nothing more than a minor nuisance. You can just sleep the night away, or easily outrun the few random zombies that spawn. You spend hours building massive castles, walls, and defensive traps, but you never actually get to use them because the vanilla game never attacks your base. I wanted to give your defenses a real purpose.

I created the RR Horde Nights Addon to completely transform Minecraft into a thrilling, wave-based tower defense and survival game. This highly advanced script turns every single sunset into a brutal fight for your life. It introduces structured zombie invasions, atmospheric Blood Moons, massive boss fights, and a competitive rating system. For Version 2.0.0, I have completely rewritten the core engine from the ground up. This is the Full Access Edition, meaning the old Night 10 limit is gone. You now have unlimited nights, and every single premium hardcore feature is 100% unlocked for you right out of the box!

Endless Horde System & Progressive Difficulty

In standard Minecraft, mobs spawn completely randomly in dark caves or far away from you. RR Horde Nights changes this by introducing an intelligent Wave Spawning System. When the sun goes down, the invasion begins. Zombies do not just wander aimlessly; they spawn in organized, periodic waves specifically targeting your location. To prevent cheap ambushes, the script ensures they spawn exactly 15 to 22 blocks away from you, giving you just enough time to draw your sword or notch an arrow.

You cannot simply survive by using the same tactics every night because the game features Progressive Scaling Difficulty. The longer you survive in your world, the harder the horde pushes back:

Nights 1 to 3: The invasion starts simple with standard Zombies. It gives you time to build basic walls.
Nights 4 to 6: The horde introduces Husks, which do not burn in the daylight, meaning you must clean up the survivors the next morning.
Nights 7 to 10: The difficulty spikes as ranged Skeletons and wall-climbing Spiders join the invasion, forcing you to build roofs and use shields.
Night 11 and Beyond: Absolute chaos. Creepers join the siege to blow holes in your base, and the entire horde is granted a permanent Speed Boost. You must rely on traps, lava moats, and high-tier enchantments.

Epic Boss Fights & Blood Moon Events

To keep you constantly on the edge of your seat, I built massive dynamic events into the night cycle that will test your combat skills to the absolute limit.

The Zombie King: Every 5th night, the horde sends a champion. A massive Boss Zombie will spawn alongside the regular waves. It is equipped with immense Health, a heavy Resistance buff, and massive Strength. When it spawns, a terrifying Dragon Growl echoes across the world, and a Boss Alert flashes on your screen. If you manage to defeat the Zombie King, you are rewarded with a massive 100 XP drop.

The Blood Moon: After you survive your first 5 nights, the world becomes unstable. Every single night has a 15% chance to trigger a horrifying Blood Moon. You will hear an atmospheric thunderclap, the sky will darken, and a red warning HUD will appear. During a Blood Moon, spawn rates triple. However, if you are brave enough to fight instead of hide, every kill during a Blood Moon rewards you with 5x the normal Experience Points!

Live Ratings, HUD & Reward System

Hiding in a hole underground is boring. This addon encourages you to actively fight the horde by rating your combat performance. Throughout the night, a clean Action Bar HUD dynamically displays your current wave and active kill count.

When the sun finally rises, the night ends, and the Dawn Survived sequence triggers. The script calculates your performance and flashes a massive title on your screen. You will receive a specific rating based on your kills: Poor (0-5), Good (5-10 ★), Great (10-20 ★★), Amazing (20-30 ★★★), Legendary (30-50 ★★★★), or the ultimate GODLIKE (50+ ★★★★★) rating. A satisfying Totem pop sound plays, and you are instantly granted a bulk XP reward based on your performance.

Multiplayer Leaderboards & Live Stats

If you are playing on a multiplayer SMP Realm, RR Horde Nights turns survival into an intense competition. Who has the best base defenses? Who is the best fighter? By holding a standard Book and Sneaking (crouching), you can open your personal Stats Panel. This menu shows your Lifetime Nights Survived, your Total All-Time Kills, and your Personal Best Night Record.

From the Stats menu, you can also access the Live Server Leaderboard. This displays the Top 5 Survivors on your entire server, ranking them by their total kills and showing your exact personal rank among your friends.

Admin Controls & Zero Lag Optimization

Every server has different needs, so I built a comprehensive settings system directly into the game without using any chat commands. By holding Rotten Flesh and Sneaking, any Admin can open the Control Panel.

From this menu, Admins can completely toggle the Horde ON or OFF, reset the night counter back to zero, or preview the exact mob types that will spawn the following night. You can also adjust the Custom Difficulty with 4 intensity levels: Easy (fewer zombies), Normal (balanced), Hard (aggressive spawns), and Extreme (maximum chaos).

Most importantly, I spent weeks optimizing the V2.0.0 engine. To ensure your server never lags or crashes, the script enforces a strict maximum cap of 25 active horde mobs per player at any given time. This guarantees buttery smooth performance even during massive multiplayer Blood Moons.

[ IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT ]
This addon relies entirely on highly advanced custom Script APIs to calculate the wave spawning algorithms, track player kills, manage the dynamic UI HUD, and handle the night cycles. You MUST go to your World Settings > Experiments tab, and turn on Beta APIs before loading your world. If you do not enable this setting, the horde will not spawn and the mod will not work!
