HartBots includes protective excavation rules designed to reduce accidental damage to bases, storage systems, and underground infrastructure.

Overworld Miner protections:

• Preserves supported storage blocks, including chests, barrels, and hoppers.
• Skips designated redstone components, rails, ladders, and utility blocks.
• Protects torches and other designated path markers.
• Avoids mining bedrock and liquids as ordinary terrain.
• Tracks skipped protected blocks in mining statistics.

Nether Miner protections:

• Restricts excavation to an approved list of natural Nether terrain and resources.
• Preserves blocks outside its permitted mining list.
• Performs additional neighboring-block checks around certain sensitive infrastructure.
• Includes controlled lava-handling behavior during mining.

These safeguards are especially useful when deploying miners in established survival worlds with existing buildings and underground systems.

Important: HartBots uses block-based protection rules rather than automatic detection of entire player-built structures. Ordinary mineable terrain used in construction may still be excavated. Review your mining area and maintain world backups before starting large operations.
