Hamon (The Ripple)
A fully-featured sun-powered martial art of Hamon (the Ripple) from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It features custom entities, progression systems, localized UI menus, custom particles, and 15 unique, Hamon skills.
🌟 Features
Hamon Training Quest: Interact with the NPC Will A. Zeppeli to unlock the path of Hamon.
Leveling & XP System: Earn Hamon XP to level up (max level 12) and earn Skill Points (SP) to spend in the custom UI Skill Tree.
Concentration Triggers & Rules:
- Armor Restriction: Hamon cannot be channeled while wearing any armor.
- Submersion: Hamon deactivates immediately when fully submerged in water (unless Deep Pass Overdrive is unlocked, which provides a level-scaling safety grace period of up to 8 seconds).
- Altitude Limits: Hamon deactivates if climbing above Y=100 without Mental Fortitude (limits increase up to Y=250 with the skill).
- Weakness: Hamon automatically deactivates if the player drops to 1 Health (half a heart) or lower.
15 Scripted Skills:
1. Water Walking: Run across water surfaces with custom water like particle ripples.
2. Healing & Purification: Heal yourself and purge poison, or strike allies to heal them.
3. Passive Vitality: Gain resistance and regeneration even while Hamon is inactive.
4. Overdrive: Melee attacks ignore armor by spending Hamon energy.
5. Zoom Punch: Extend melee range up to 7 blocks away (2s cooldown).
6. Sunlight Yellow Overdrive: Gather up your resolve to trigger massive strength and haste buffs.
7. Life Magnetism: Sneak & move forward to scale vertical walls like a magnet.
8. Ripple Detector: Have hamon charge & hold a bucket of water while still to ping nearby entities.
9. Charged Projectiles: Infuse projectiles with Hamon to ignite undead and deal extra damage.
10. Deep Pass Overdrive: Grants a safety buffer before water breaks your breathing focus.
11. Hamon Shockwave: Auto-blasts enemies back when dropping below 25% health.
12. Mental Fortitude: Allows Hamon focus at high altitudes (up to Y=250).
13. Hamon Concentration: Unleashes extra heavy damage on undead if the Hamon bar is high.
14. Ripple Stun: Melee attacks immobilize living targets for 3 seconds.
15. Hamon Infusion: Grow crops instantly in a 3x3 area by interacting.
🔊 Audio Controller:
- Fully Immersive Sound Effects: Customized sounds for Zoom Punch, Hamon charge up, Overdrive, and Sunlight Yellow Overdrive.
- In-Game Configurator GUI: Customize your volume and pitch scaling for different categories (Breathing, Skills, SFX, Master), change spatial mode properties, or test sounds live with the Sound Preview panel.
- Quick Menu Access: Just type /scriptevent hamon:audio (or /scriptevent hamon:sound) in the game chat to access the menu.
🚀 Getting Started
1. Finding Will A. Zeppeli NPC
In Creative Mode, use the Spawn Will A. Zeppeli spawn egg. In survival mode, he can be found inside villages naturally.
2. Hamon Training Quest
Talk to Zeppeli and hand over the required materials:
- 1 Tadpole Bucket (breath of life in water)
- 3 Gold Ingots (energy of the sun)
- 1 Water Bucket (breathing stability)
3. Activating Hamon
Double-crouch (sneak twice within 1.5 seconds) to toggle Hamon activation.
Talk to Zeppeli to access the Hamon Skill Tree UI and upgrade your skills.

Minecraft Settings
To ensure all script components execute successfully, you MUST enable the following experimental toggle in your world settings:
1. Beta APIs (Required for Script API @minecraft/server)
Installing the Addon
1. Double-click the packaged hamon.mcaddon file to automatically import it.
2. Activate the behavior pack and resource pack in your world settings.
