Description
Golther Fly — Flight Add-on for Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Introduction
Golther Fly is a lightweight and standalone add-on that introduces a hover-style flight system to Survival Mode in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Its design prioritizes ease of use, performance stability, and compatibility with other add-ons, offering the player precise aerial control without altering the base game experience.
How it works
The system is activated and deactivated by double-tapping the jump button. Once active, the player enters a suspended state in the air where gravity no longer applies and movement control is transferred entirely to the movement keys.
The mechanic is divided into three control axes:
Vertical control. The jump button ascends the player while held. The sneak button descends the player while held. When both buttons are released, the player remains suspended at exactly the altitude they were at, with no residual momentum or unwanted drift.
Horizontal control. Standard movement keys allow the player to move in any direction relative to their view. The sprint function increases horizontal movement speed for longer journeys.
Flight safety. While the flight state is active, the player is protected from fall damage. When flight is deactivated, the system applies a brief slow falling effect that guarantees a controlled and damage-free landing.
How to use it
First, make sure the add-on is activated in the corresponding world. Once inside, double-tap the jump button to activate flight. Use the movement keys to travel through the air, the jump button to ascend, and the sneak button to descend. To land, double-tap the jump button again.
Configuration panel
The add-on includes a configuration panel accessible from within the game. To open it, obtain a feather with the indicated command, rename it in an anvil with the name Golther Fly, and then sneak and right-click while holding it. From this panel you can enable or disable the flight functionality, manage the internal API state, and check the achievement compatibility status of the world.
Main features
The add-on works completely independently, without requiring other packs or external dependencies. It is compatible with the Minecraft achievement system, as it uses exclusively the stable script API. It includes multilanguage support in English, Spanish, and Thai. It works correctly in both single-player and multiplayer environments. Its internal engine incorporates a load governor that dynamically adjusts execution frequency to maintain stable performance even in worlds with many players or with other active add-ons.
Requirements
Requires Minecraft Bedrock Edition version 1.21.70 or higher. Depending on the specific game version, it may be necessary to enable the experimental toggles related to the beta APIs.
