Description
SoulCraft
Souls rise. Water freezes. The End opens its gates.
SoulCraft is a Minecraft Bedrock add-on about three things: purifying the Nether's soul sand, giving chorus fruit real uses, and linking your bases with a teleport network you build and name yourself.
Highlights
- Soul Sand Purification with a Nether Star, in stages, ending in Empty Soul Sand.
- Water in the Nether, which freezes in cold climates.
- Endgate: a lapis-powered teleport network with named gates and Blind Endgates.
- Mineable End Portal Frames with a Netherite Pickaxe (Efficiency V or Silk Touch).
- Composter gacha: feed it Chorus Fruit and it may hand you a Dried Chorus Fruit.
- Aim-based teleport: eat a Dried Chorus Fruit and go where you look.
- Soul Furnace: an obsidian-and-netherrack furnace with its own recipe book.
- End Meteorites: new meteorite clusters generating in The Overworld (Hot and Cold Biomes)
- Warden ritual: summon a Warden if you dare.
How it works
Soul Sand Purification
Use a Nether Star on soul sand and watch it purify in stages: Almost Full → Half → Quarter → Empty. Each stage takes a few seconds, and the ritual can leave you with a random potion effect, helpful or not.
Empty Soul Sand and Nether Water
Fully purified soul sand becomes Empty Soul Sand, an anchor that lets you keep water in the Nether. The water reacts to the climate around it, so in cold biomes it begins to freeze.

Endgate Teleport Network
Place an End Portal Frame on a Reinforced End Stone and right-click it to open the Endgate menu.
- Name your gates and travel between them by paying Lapis Lazuli; the cost depends on distance.

- Top up or withdraw lapis from a gate's balance right in the menu.
- A frame without an Eye of Ender becomes a Blind Endgate: it broadcasts to one fixed destination you choose by name.

- Upgrade your frame to a Redstone, Golden or Netherite Eye Frame (see the roadmap).

- Toppings: Spider Eye (Hidden Gate), Ghast Tear (Nether Relay), Ender Pearl (The End Relay), Compass (Overworld Relay), & Full Fermented Spider Eye (True Hidden).
Mining End Portal Frames
In vanilla an End Portal Frame can never be broken. In SoulCraft you can, if you bring the right tool.
- Netherite Pickaxe with Efficiency V (or higher) or Silk Touch: the frame drops as an item, with a level-up sound.
- Any other tool: the frame still breaks, but it drops nothing. The block is simply lost, so don't bring the wooden pickaxe.
- The Eye of Ender always drops if the frame had one.
- Breaking a frame of an active End portal switches that portal off.
- In Creative the frame just breaks, with no drop.
Chorus Fruit
The Composter gacha
Right-click a Composter holding Chorus Fruit. Every fruit is consumed, and there is a 65% chance the compost level rises, just like vanilla.
Every time the level actually rises, the composter makes a hidden roll to become blessed. The chance is 2% × the new level:
| New level | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blessing chance | 2% | 4% | 6% | 8% | 10% | 12% | 14% |
When the composter is ready, harvest it as usual. A blessed composter pops out a Dried Chorus Fruit on top of the normal harvest, with a totem burst and a level-up chime. Across a full batch (about 11 fruits on average) the odds are roughly 45%. Break the composter and the blessing is gone.
Dried Chorus Fruit: teleport by aim
Eat a Dried Chorus Fruit and where you are looking decides where you go.
- Look at a block within 64 blocks: you teleport to a spot next to the face you are looking at. You need two blocks of free space; if there is none, you get a message and stay put (the fruit is still eaten).
- Look steeply up at open sky in the Overworld: you are sent to The End, onto the obsidian spawn platform (rebuilt if missing), with Slow Falling for 15 seconds.
- Look steeply down into the void in The End: you return to the Overworld, at your spawn point or the world spawn, with Slow Falling for 15 seconds.
- In the Nether, or when looking up in The End, nothing happens.
Crafting with chorus
Dry Chorus Plants and Flowers drop Dried Chorus Fruit. Craft Ender Pearls from it, and Ender Shards to make Reinforced End Stone and even the End Portal Frame itself.
Soul Furnace
A furnace of obsidian and netherrack with its own interface and a built-in recipe book, including a filter for recipes you can smelt right now.

End Meteorites
New world generation in The Overworld. meteorite clusters from tiny to huge, some with their own satellites.
Spawn on Desert Biome.
Warden Ritual
Gather the bones, find a Sculk Shrieker and perform the ritual to summon a Warden. You will not enjoy the darkness that follows. A recipe for the Sculk Sensor is included so the ritual is within reach.
