The Door is Locked, Go make the key
Somewhere in your world there are boulders with something old still glowing inside them. Crack them open, take what falls out, build the rune, raise the altar. Step through.
And also! You will not have to guess at any of it. It will tell you what to do next, and changes its mind the moment you look at something that matters.

- You are never lost. Your next goal sits on screen and updates as you move.
- Alot of quests waiting on the other side, from your first handful of strange wood to the thing at the end of it...
- Pick up anything new and the addon offers to tell you exactly what it is.
Six Forests, You have seen none of them.
Amberwood. Bloodwood. Gloomwood. Ashenwood. Verdigris. And the forgotten wood the place is named for. Each one owns a stretch of the world big enough to get lost in, and you will know the moment you cross out of one and into the next.
Rivers run between them. Wade in and there is a whole floor down there, grass moving in the current, reeds along the bank with things living in them.

- Build with all of it. Every wood works everywhere oak does.
- Someone wrote things down out here. Twelve records buried in the groves, and they are not flavour text.
- Fog thick enough to lose the path in, and it is not the same fog everywhere.
- Shrines standing where somebody put them, guarded by whatever moved in after.
Then the trees stop.
The colour drains out of the world. Ash underfoot, bone grey to the horizon, water that nothing lives in. And towers still upright, six floors each, doors that will not open for you.
Every floor wants something dead before it lets you climb. The chest sitting on it stays shut until you oblige.

- Six floors, six fights, and it gets worse and better the higher you go.
- Bring someone. Everyone who fought for a floor gets the credit for it.
- You feel the air change the second you cross the treeline.
Four things that will kill you
They wind up before they hit you. They fight differently once you have hurt them badly enough. And every one of them is written up in the guide before you ever meet it, so the only excuse left is not reading it.

Bloodmaw: Drops on you out of nowhere, drains what it bites, and screams for its brood the moment it starts losing.

Mossback: Throws boulders. Flattens the ground you are standing on. Hits harder than anything else down here, and charges once it is angry.

Broodmother: The first one that stops you dead. She is sitting on a shrine and she will leave you alone right up until you decide not to.

Canopy Widow: She pins you with silk, shoots you from across the arena, and when she is hurting she starts making more of herself. Kill her and she comes back harder.

There is always something to go do
COLLECT THEM:
40+ Creatures - Every one you meet fills in a page. The page tells you the thing you cannot see: whether it is coming for you, or whether it only bites back.
GET STRONGER:
The Reliquary - Hand over what you drag home and it gives you something permanent back. Four different ways to build yourself, and you will not max them all.
TAKE WORK:
Contracts - Something always needs hunting, carrying, clearing or surviving. Never a job for a creature you have not laid eyes on.
GO FURTHER:
The Reach - This place does not get harder in neat rings. It gets harder the further you walk from the altar, and it does not stop.
DIE LESS BADLY:
Cocoons - Everything you were carrying gets wrapped up where you fell. Go back and cut it down. Nothing scatters, nothing rolls into a hole.
TAKE IT HOME:
Build with it: Six woods, strange stone, glowing things. All of it comes back through the portal with you, and all of it builds.

Do not come alone
The hard parts go better with someone. The rest of it stays yours.

- Fight it together. Everyone who bled for a boss or a tower floor gets the credit, not whoever landed the last hit.
- Nobody skips your game. Your quests, your journal, your discoveries stay yours, a friend killing the Widow does not tick her off your list.
- One rune lets everybody in. Build it as a group or build it on your own.
