FootTakeover is a thrilling, high-stakes boss and minigame add-on for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. This mod completely changes how you look at the simplest blocks in the game by turning a routine chore—placing dirt—into an immediate battle for survival against a colossal threat.
🪨 Core Gameplay & Mechanics
- The Dirt Summoning Ritual: The nightmare begins with a single block of dirt. The moment a player places a dirt block down in the world, it acts as a summoning trigger, instantly manifesting a terrifying entity right above them.
- The 50-Block-Tall Foot Men: Forget ordinary-sized mobs; this mod introduces the Foot Men, towering giants reaching a staggering 50 blocks in height. Their massive scale allows them to stomp across the landscape, crushing blocks and hunting players from high above.
- The "Foot Man" Curse: If a giant Foot Man successfully steps on you, you are instantly transformed into a Foot Man variant yourself. You inherit their heavy-stepping movement, altered physics, and stomping capabilities.
- Temporary Infection: Unlike permanent zombie infections, this curse is not permanent. Players must survive the duration of the countdown or meet specific in-game conditions to break free from the giant's curse and revert back to their normal human form.
📦 Pack Architecture
To make these massive scale changes function smoothly without lagging your world, the mod leverages two vital components:
- Behavior Pack (
_BP): Manages the code that watches for dirt block placement, handles the 50-block entity scale logic, tracks player hitboxes during a stomp, and dictates the temporary transformation timer. - Resource Pack (
_RP): Delivers the towering 3D models for the giant Foot Men, massive custom textures, and the screen-shaking visual effects that occur when a giant foot slams next to you.
