FloorLink - Simple Elevator

Placeable multi-floor elevators with walkable rides, automatic doors, simple floor markers, and four selectable designs.

FloorLink

Add working elevators to your Minecraft Bedrock buildings with simple placement, configurable floor stops, and selectable designs.

Place an elevator, mark your floors, and ride. The cabin floor and roof move through the shaft in one-block steps, allowing players to walk and look around during the journey.

Features

  • A complete elevator with a 3 × 3 usable interior.
  • Automatic landing doors.
  • Up and Down buttons, plus a numbered floor-selection menu.
  • Call an empty elevator from another floor.
  • Transport up to nine players together.
  • Multiple independent elevators in the same world.
  • Saved floor stops, cabin position, and design settings.
  • Departure tones and arrival chimes.
  • Simple repair, extension, trimming, and floor-removal controls.
  • Quiet operation without routine chat spam.

Choose your design

Change an elevator’s appearance through its wall menu:

  • Art Deco: brass framing, dark tinted glass, and black-and-gold geometric patterns.
  • Grand Hotel: warm wood panels, cream flooring, brass accents, and a decorative centre inlay.
  • Modern: light panels, silver framing, lightly tinted glass, and clean controls.
  • Technology: dark purple glass, cyan circuit patterns, violet accents, and subtle animated lighting.

An Original steel-and-teal design is also available.

Simple setup

Only two items are needed. Find them under Construction → FloorLink Elevators in Creative:

  1. Elevator: place it in a clear area. The shaft, cabin, first-floor doors, lights, and controls install automatically.
  2. Floor Marker: use it on a shaft wall at the floor-block height of each additional landing. Doors and controls are added automatically.

Initial placement requires a clear 5 × 5 area with 22 blocks of height. The entrance faces north. Floor stops must be at least five blocks apart.

Connect your building’s floors to the landing doorways outside the shaft.

Using the elevator

Enter the cabin and use the green Up button or orange Down button. Up is positioned above Down.

Use the floor-selection panel or the centre of the cabin floor to choose a specific destination. Interact with a closed landing door to call an empty elevator.

Players inside an occupied elevator control its destination.

Configuration and maintenance

With an empty hand, interact with any glass shaft wall to open the management menu. No crouching is required.

The Creative owner can:

  • Change the elevator’s design.
  • Extend the shaft upward.
  • Trim unused shaft height above the highest stop.
  • Repair the cabin and landing components.
  • Remove an upper floor stop and automatically renumber the remaining floors.
  • Remove the complete elevator after confirmation.

The system checks for blocked space and avoids overwriting replacement blocks during repairs.

Installation

Open the downloaded .mcaddon file with Minecraft, then activate both the FloorLink Behavior Pack and Resource Pack in your world settings.

No experimental toggles are required.

Build and configure elevators in Creative mode. Other players can ride them in Survival.

Beta information

FloorLink is currently a beta for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Movement is visibly stepped rather than continuously smooth. Doors switch between open and closed states rather than using a smooth sliding animation.

The moving elevator has been tested locally on Windows. Tablet testing, broader multiplayer testing, and compatibility checks with other add-ons are still ongoing.

Please test in a new world or a copy of your existing world before using it in an important build. When reporting an issue, include your Minecraft version, device, and any relevant screenshots.
