🌿 Fast Leaf Decay
Fast Leaf Decay is a simple quality-of-life add-on for Minecraft Bedrock that causes tree leaves to decay almost instantly once logs are removed, helping keep worlds clean and free of floating leaf clusters after chopping trees.
The add-on is designed to feel natural during normal gameplay and only activates when a tree is intentionally cut down. It preserves vanilla mechanics and item drops while removing the long wait times normally associated with leaf decay.
🪓 How It Works
When a player chops down a tree and removes its logs, nearby unsupported leaves will begin decaying almost immediately. Leaves are broken using vanilla behavior so normal drops such as saplings and sticks are preserved. No special tools, commands, or actions are required.
✨ Features
Fast Leaf Decay provides near-instant leaf cleanup after trees are chopped while preserving all vanilla drops such as saplings and sticks. It does not modify loot tables or block behavior and operates in a localized, performance-friendly way. The add-on runs automatically in the background, is safe for multiplayer use, and does not require a resource pack, commands, or any user configuration.
⚙️ Compatibility
This add-on is designed for Minecraft Bedrock Edition and uses a behavior pack only. It works in survival worlds and is compatible with vanilla trees, natural world generation, and other quality-of-life add-ons.
📦 Installation
Easy Install
Download the .mcpack file and double-click it to import into Minecraft.
Manual Install
The pack can also be installed manually by placing it into Minecraft’s behavior pack directory and enabling it in the world settings menu.
📝 Notes
Leaf decay speed is intentionally very fast to allow quick cleanup after chopping trees. Leaves that are still connected to logs will not decay until those logs are removed. The add-on avoids world-wide scanning to help maintain good performance.
