EVERY BLOCK YOU BREAK SPAWNS A RANDOM MOB
Turn ordinary Minecraft mining into an unpredictable survival nightmare!
Every block you break has a chance to summon a random mob. From harmless animals and friendly creatures to terrifying monsters and powerful rare enemies, you never know what will appear next.
At first, mining might seem harmless. But the more blocks you break, the higher the spawn probability becomes. Soon, a simple mining session can turn into complete chaos!
Mine carefully. Watch your surroundings. And whatever you do, don't underestimate a single block!
1. ADDON OVERVIEW
Every Block You Break Spawns a Random Mob is a Minecraft Bedrock Edition Behavior Pack designed to transform ordinary survival gameplay into a chaotic, unpredictable experience.
The addon introduces a block-breaking event system that independently calculates a mob spawn chance whenever a player breaks a block.
Instead of mining safely and collecting resources without consequences, players must now consider the risks of every block they destroy.
The more you mine, the more dangerous your world becomes.
Key Features
- Random Mob Spawning: Breaking blocks triggers a random mob spawn calculation.
- Progressive Difficulty: Spawn probability increases as players break more blocks.
- Massive Mob Variety: Randomly encounter passive animals, hostile monsters, and rare mobs.
- Rare Encounters: Discover powerful and uncommon creatures with special spawn probabilities.
- Multiplayer Support: Each player has an independent block-breaking counter.
- Dimension Awareness: Mobs spawn in the dimension where the player breaks the block.
- Performance Protection: A configurable mob limit helps prevent excessive mob accumulation.
- Dynamic Survival: Mining becomes increasingly unpredictable as gameplay progresses.
2. HOW IT WORKS
The addon monitors block-breaking events and performs a random spawn calculation for each eligible block-breaking action.
When a player successfully breaks a block, the addon:
- Detects the block-breaking event.
- Identifies the player responsible for breaking the block.
- Updates that player's individual block-breaking counter.
- Calculates the current mob spawn probability.
- Generates a random number to determine whether a mob should spawn.
- Selects a mob from the available random mob pool.
- Spawns the selected mob near the player, subject to valid spawning conditions and the configured mob limit.
Every block-breaking action creates a new opportunity for something unexpected to happen.
However, spawning is chance-based. Not every block is guaranteed to summon a mob.
3. PROGRESSIVE SPAWN SYSTEM
The addon becomes increasingly dangerous as players continue mining.
The spawn probability starts relatively low, giving players an opportunity to prepare before the situation becomes chaotic.
As players break more blocks, their individual spawn probability gradually increases.
Default Spawn Configuration
| Setting | Default Value |
|---|---|
| Initial Spawn Chance | 35% |
| Spawn Chance Increase | +5 percentage points |
| Progression Interval | Every 10 Blocks |
| Maximum Spawn Chance | 90% |
| Base Rare Mob Chance | 1.5% |
| Maximum Rare Mob Chance | 8% |
| Maximum Addon-Spawned Mobs | 40 per Dimension |
Spawn Chance Progression
| Blocks Broken | Spawn Probability |
|---|---|
| 0–9 | 35% |
| 10–19 | 40% |
| 20–29 | 45% |
| 30–39 | 50% |
| 40–49 | 55% |
| 50–59 | 60% |
| 60–69 | 65% |
| 70–79 | 70% |
| 80–89 | 75% |
| 90–99 | 80% |
| 100–109 | 85% |
| 110+ | 90% |
Important: Spawn probability is calculated individually for each player. Reaching the maximum probability does not mean that every block automatically spawns a mob.
4. RANDOM MOB SELECTION
The addon introduces a variety of possible encounters to keep every mining session unpredictable.
Depending on the configured mob pool, players may encounter different categories of creatures.
Passive Mobs
These creatures are generally less threatening and can provide unexpected encounters during normal survival gameplay.
Examples include:
- Cow
- Pig
- Sheep
- Chicken
- Rabbit
- Wolf
- Cat
- Horse
- Donkey
- Villager
- Allay
- Fox
- Turtle
- Panda
- Bee
Hostile Mobs
These creatures can turn an ordinary mining session into an unexpected survival challenge.
Examples include:
- Zombie
- Husk
- Drowned
- Skeleton
- Stray
- Creeper
- Spider
- Cave Spider
- Enderman
- Witch
- Slime
- Magma Cube
- Phantom
- Pillager
- Vindicator
- Ravager
- Blaze
- Ghast
- Hoglin
- Piglin Brute
- Guardian
Rare and Dangerous Mobs
Some encounters are significantly less common and can create extremely dangerous situations.
Examples include:
- Warden
- Wither
- Elder Guardian
- Evoker
- Ravager
- Shulker
Rare encounters are designed to make players feel that no mining session is ever completely predictable.
Note: Actual mob availability depends on the Minecraft version and the entities included in the installed addon configuration.
5. MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT
The addon is designed to support multiplayer gameplay.
Players can explore, mine, build, and survive together while experiencing independent progression.
Individual Player Tracking
Each player has their own block-breaking counter and spawn progression.
For example:
- Player A breaks 100 blocks and reaches an 80% spawn chance.
- Player B breaks 20 blocks and remains at a 45% spawn chance.
- Player C joins later and starts with a fresh progression counter.
One player's mining activity does not directly increase another player's spawn probability.
Shared World Experience
Although progression is independent, spawned mobs exist in the shared Minecraft world.
This means:
- Other players can see spawned mobs.
- Spawned mobs can attack nearby players according to their normal behavior.
- Players can cooperate to fight dangerous encounters.
- Mining together can create unpredictable multiplayer situations.
- The addon can make group survival considerably more challenging.
Multiplayer Compatibility Notes
The Behavior Pack must be installed and activated on the world or server.
For Realm and Dedicated Server environments, the server administrator must configure the addon correctly before players join.
Player progression is session-based and is not guaranteed to persist across leaving the world or restarting the server.
6. DIMENSION SUPPORT
The addon is designed to work with Minecraft's major dimensions.
Overworld
Mine ordinary resources while dealing with unexpected encounters.
Even peaceful mining locations can become dangerous.
Nether
Mining Nether resources can create unpredictable encounters in an already hostile environment.
Be prepared for additional threats while collecting valuable materials.
The End
Exploring and collecting End resources becomes more dangerous when every block-breaking action has a chance to summon another creature.
Note: Entity availability and spawning behavior may vary depending on the dimension and Minecraft entity rules.
7. PERFORMANCE AND MOB LIMITS
Random mob spawning can quickly increase the number of entities in a world.
To help reduce excessive entity accumulation, the addon uses a configurable limit on the number of mobs created by the addon.
Default Performance Settings
| Configuration | Default |
|---|---|
| Addon Mob Limit | 40 |
| Limit Scope | Per Dimension |
| Spawn Calculation | Per Player |
| Spawn Location | Near the Responsible Player |
When the configured limit is reached, additional addon-controlled spawning is restricted until the number of tracked addon-spawned mobs decreases.
This mechanism is intended to help reduce unnecessary entity accumulation, especially in multiplayer environments.
Important: The mob limit only controls entities tracked by the addon. It does not impose a global limit on every mob naturally spawned by Minecraft or other addons.
Actual performance depends on the device, world complexity, simulation distance, player count, and other installed packs.
8. GAMEPLAY RECOMMENDATIONS
For the best experience, consider the following recommendations:
- Play in Survival Mode for a more challenging experience.
- Avoid mining large amounts of blocks without preparing for combat.
- Bring sufficient food, armor, weapons, and healing items.
- Keep your mining area well-lit.
- Avoid mining directly beside valuable structures.
- Work with teammates when rare hostile mobs appear.
- Be especially careful when mining in the Nether and the End.
The addon is particularly suitable for chaotic survival challenges, multiplayer competitions, funny gameplay videos, and unpredictable Minecraft adventures.

11. IMPORTANT GAMEPLAY NOTES
1. Random does not mean guaranteed.
Every eligible block-breaking action triggers a spawn calculation, but the result depends on the current probability.
2. Progression is individual.
Each player's block-breaking counter is tracked independently.
3. Mob limits are intentional.
The addon restricts its own tracked mob spawning to help prevent excessive entity accumulation.
4. Rare encounters are intentionally uncommon.
Powerful mobs are designed to be less frequent than ordinary encounters.
5. Multiplayer requires server-side activation.
The addon must be active in the shared world for multiplayer functionality to work.
12. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Does every block I break spawn a mob?
Not necessarily. Every eligible block-breaking action triggers a spawn probability calculation. A mob only spawns when the random calculation succeeds.
Q: Does the spawn chance increase over time?
Yes. The default spawn probability increases by 5 percentage points for every 10 blocks broken, up to a maximum of 90%.
Q: Does each player have an independent spawn chance?
Yes. Each player has an individual block-breaking counter and progression system.
Q: Can I play with my friends?
Yes. The addon supports multiplayer worlds, including shared survival experiences, provided the Behavior Pack is activated on the world or server.
Q: Can rare mobs spawn?
Yes. The addon includes a rare mob selection system with a lower probability than ordinary mob encounters.
Q: Does the addon work in the Nether and the End?
It is designed to support the Overworld, Nether, and End. Actual entity spawning depends on Minecraft's dimension and entity restrictions.
Q: Will this addon cause lag?
The addon includes a limit on the number of addon-tracked spawned mobs. However, performance can still vary depending on the device, world settings, and number of active entities.
Q: Does the addon require experimental features?
The addon uses the stable Minecraft Script API. No separate experimental gameplay feature should be required when the installed Minecraft version supports its declared API dependency.
Q: Does progress save after leaving the world?
The current progression system is session-based. Player block counters are reset when the player leaves or the server session is restarted.
Q: Can I change the spawn probability?
Yes. The configuration values in the main JavaScript file can be adjusted to create easier, harder, or more chaotic gameplay.
13. FINAL CHALLENGE
Can You Survive 500 Blocks?
Start mining and see how long you can survive.
At first, everything seems normal. A few animals appear. Then hostile mobs begin interrupting your mining. Eventually, almost every mining session becomes a fight for survival.
Invite your friends, collect resources, fight unexpected enemies, and discover just how chaotic Minecraft can become.
Remember: In this world, breaking a block might be the worst decision you make.
EVERY BLOCK YOU BREAK. EVERY MOB THAT APPEARS. EVERY MOMENT IS UNPREDICTABLE.
