DryOut is a desert survival addon that expands Minecraft's deserts with ancient Egyptian themed content, dangerous creatures, mysterious structures, powerful relics, useful trinkets, new blocks, events, and survival mechanics.
The desert is no longer just an empty biome. Explore, fight, discover hidden places, collect powerful items, and survive the dangers buried beneath the sand.

The DryOut dungeon spawner is a custom mob spawning system designed for structures.

Food can have special interactions and effects through DryOut's food system.
As of now, you can put custom effects on food by holding an item in your offhand and food in your main hand, then right-clicking it.
Currently supported items include the Scorpion Venom Gland, with more coming soon.
Sandstorms are dangerous desert events that can suddenly change the environment around you.
During a sandstorm:
Some of DryOut's most dangerous mechanics are connected to curses.
Certain discoveries and encounters can trigger powerful curse effects that change how you survive and explore the world.
The curse system is designed to make major encounters feel more meaningful instead of simply giving the player another normal reward.
A curse will last a few days and randomly swap between different curse events.
Use /dryout in chat to set the current active event for testing only.
DryOut includes custom achievements for completing challenges and discovering different parts of the addon.
Achievements can be earned through exploration, combat, relic usage, special discoveries, and other objectives.
Craft a guide book with a piece of sand and a book to find out all the achievements you can earn.
Exploration is a major part of DryOut.
Search the desert for hidden structures, rare loot, powerful items, dangerous enemies, and secrets (lore added soon).
The deeper you explore, the more dangerous the desert becomes.
