Day Counter - Survival Tracker

Minecraft survival legends? Ever been grinding in your hardcore world, building massive bases, and suddenly you realize you have absolutely no idea what day it is? Yeah, me too. You want to flex to your friends that you survived 100 days or 500 days, but keeping track with a physical notebook or guessing based on the moon is just pure pain. That is exactly why I made this Day Counter add-on. No extra fluff, no useless items to craft, just a clean, incredibly accurate day counter right on your screen.

How it actually works

Forget about typing annoying commands every five minutes to check the time. This add-on runs entirely on a clean, custom script that I built directly into the scripts/main.js file. Once you load it up, it automatically starts tracking the exact in-game days you have survived. It reads the world time in the background and converts it into a super sleek text display. Whether you are deep in the caves mining for diamonds or fighting the Wither, you will always know exactly how long you have been alive. It updates in real-time, so the second the sun comes up, your counter ticks up. Boom. Simple as that.

Why not just use Vanilla?

Honestly, vanilla Bedrock makes it way too frustrating to track your survival age. Java players get their F3 screen, but we are basically left guessing or counting every single sunset like cavemen. I wanted a modern, seamless solution that feels like it should have been in the base game from day one. This add-on bridges that huge gap. It gives you the ultimate tool to track your dedication without breaking the vanilla feel.

If you are doing one of those crazy "I Survived 100 Days" challenges, this is basically a must-have tool for your world. You do not have to edit a fake timer into your videos or constantly check your world data. The counter does all the heavy lifting for you. I designed it specifically for players who want a raw survival experience without cluttering up their whole screen with massive, ugly UI elements.

Multiplayer & Realms Ready

Playing with the squad? I got you covered. I made absolutely sure this thing works flawlessly on multiplayer realms and SMP servers. The script syncs up the world day for everyone online. So if your friend joins the server on day 50, they will instantly see day 50 on their screen too. No desyncs, no lag. You can all suffer through the survival grind together and celebrate those big milestones as a team. I packed it all neatly into the manifest.json so your server loads it instantly without throwing weird errors.

The Technical Setup (READ THIS)

Since this bad boy uses some advanced custom code to run the background tracker, you HAVE TO turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings. I cannot stress this enough guys. If you just drop the pack in and forget the settings, the counter will not show up. Go to your world experiments, toggle Beta APIs, and you are good to go. Also, I dropped a custom pack_icon.png into the files so the add-on looks completely legit and easy to spot in your active resource packs list.

I am planning to add more cool features in the future. Maybe different colors for the text, or a special sound effect when you hit massive milestones like day 100, 500, or 1000.
