Whether you are exploring unfamiliar biomes, gathering resources, or facing dangerous creatures, Alex is there to accompany you.

✦ THE BEGINNING OF BEYOND ALEX 

Vol. 1 is the introduction to the idea behind Beyond Alex — a first step toward creating a more dynamic, immersive, and lifelike Minecraft companion.

This initial release establishes the foundation of the project and introduces Alex's personality, dialogue, and basic companion behaviors. There is still plenty of room for improvement, and future development will focus on refining these systems, fixing bugs, and making Alex feel more natural and reliable in the world.

Starting with Vol. 2, the main goal is not just to add new features, but to polish the experience as a whole.

✦ PLANNED FOR VOL. 2 

The journey doesn't end here! Vol. 2 is planned to focus on improving Alex's AI, refining existing mechanics, fixing bugs, and expanding her interactions with the player and the world.

🧠 Smarter AI & More Natural Behavior 

Improvements to Alex's decision-making and overall behavior, making her feel more independent and responsive to her surroundings. One of the main goals is to make unnecessary teleportation as close to obsolete as possible, allowing Alex to navigate the world and keep up with the player more naturally.

🌊 Improved Water Navigation 

Improvements to Alex's movement and navigation to help her follow the player through water and aquatic environments.

🌙 Daily Life & Sleep 

Alex will be able to seek out a nearby bed at night, bringing a new layer of everyday behavior to her life in your world.

💬 More Dialogue & Player Interactions 

More lines, contextual reactions, and new actions designed to strengthen the interaction between Alex and the player. This will also include reactions to the player's death, making her feel more aware of important events during the adventure.

🎙️ Enhanced Sounds & Voice Reactions 

Improved sound design, including voice lines and vocal reactions when Alex takes damage and experiences other situations throughout the adventure.

🎭 Animation & Defeat Improvements 

Polishing existing animations and adding or improving missing movements, including falling and defeat animations. Alex will also be made more visible and easier to notice when defeated, making it clearer when she is no longer able to fight.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & General Polish 

Fixing known bugs, improving the reliability of existing features, and refining the overall experience. This includes addressing the issue that prevents the add-on's thumbnail from appearing correctly in the Behavior Pack section.

Vol. 2 is planned to build upon the foundation established in Vol. 1, with a stronger focus on quality, consistency, and immersion. Planned features may evolve during development.
