Customized Survival

Customized Survival enhances vanilla Minecraft Bedrock by adding deeper progression, powerful magical runes, and meaningful quality-of-life improvements, all while preserving the core survival experience. The addon is built for players who want more customization and long-term goals without straying too far from vanilla gameplay.

At the heart of the addon is a Rune System that allows players to unlock special rune items which grant passive effects such as Strength, Speed, Resistance, Regeneration, Night Vision, Fire Resistance, Water Breathing, and more. Each rune is tied to major survival or late-game items like Netherite Blocks, Totems, Tridents, and the Dragon Egg, ensuring every upgrade feels earned rather than overpowered.

Customized Survival also includes an in-game toggle UI that lets players enable or disable individual rune effects at any time. No commands are required, making it easy to balance gameplay or switch builds on the fly.

Beyond runes, the addon adds select item-based effects to enhance movement and utility. The Featherstep Boots grant Slow Falling while worn, improving exploration and vertical mobility. End-game progression expands with Dragon Steel Ore, now found exclusively in a new Void Stone block located near the bottom of End islands. Dragon Steel Ore is used to craft a full set of Dragon Steel tools that outperform Netherite in damage, durability, and efficiency.

Late-game survivability is pushed even further with Dragon Scales, an extremely rare material found in End Cities. Dragon Scales upgrade Netherite armor into Dragon Scale Armor, offering roughly twice the protection of Netherite and serving as the ultimate armor set.

The End has also been enriched with new flora. Astral trees now grow naturally on a custom block called Astrylium, with a rare variant known as Blooming Astral offering unique visual flair. These trees add both aesthetic and gameplay variety to End exploration, making the dimension feel more alive and rewarding to explore.

There are also a whole new set of unique tools, called Paxels. They function as a multi-tool—a pickaxe, axe, and shovel all in one. Each paxel has its own crafting recipe that is tier-appropriate, ensuring players can’t acquire them too early, and they are unbreakable.

Customized Survival also introduces a craftable mob spawning system that gives players more control over mob farming and progression. Players can craft mob spawn eggs for various entities, allowing for more flexible and survival-friendly farm setups. This system ties into a craftable spawner, enabling controlled mob generation without relying on naturally generated structures, making late-game resource farming more accessible while still requiring meaningful investment.

To polish the survival experience, Customized Survival reworks several UI and visual elements. Hearts now feature a smooth gradient design, the hunger bar uses bread icons, and various textures have been refined for clarity, including a smaller Totem of Undying, a reduced-size shield display, and smaller fire textures that cover less of the screen and appear more compact in-world. All ores now have a glowing texture to make them easier to spot in dark environments.
