bum_Bloodmoon! introduces an atmospheric new challenge to your world!
This mod adds a new event called a Blood Moon which occurs during every full moon. During a Blood Moon, numerous hostile monsters will spawn under the ominous glow of a red moon!
The monsters that spawn will not only be more numerous, but some monsters that otherwise don't usually spawn at night will appear! It's very difficult to survive a Blood Moon if you're unprepared, and will make you and your players pay more attention to the cycles of the moon when preparing nighttime adventures!
When a Blood Moon rises, a message will display in chat saying "The Blood Moon rises..".
As a red fog descends on the overworld and the moon rises, monsters and ghouls will creep about! Once dawn begins to creep over the land, another message will display in chat as the monsters and ghouls vanish..
"The Blood Moon fades.."
This mod is fully stable and does not require any experimental toggles.
This mod works on realms and servers.

Anyways, this has been a long awaited and requested update!
It's been three years since bum_Bloodmoon! was last updated, and it was broken and depreciated by Minecraft updates a long time ago. BUT, I've rebuilt the mod to utilize scripting API and stable features, so it should be future-proof now! *crosses fingers*
I sincerely hope you enjoy it!

Uploaded a quick hotfix to patch the issue with Blood Moon mobs dropping their loot when despawned at the end of a Blood Moon. Much more balanced and no longer exploitable!

This one makes it so you cannot sleep during a Blood Moon!
There's no escaping the Blood Moon's beckoning..
