Overview:

Crystal Alchemy introduces a mystical progression system to Minecraft built around three ancient crystals scattered across the dimensions. Discover forgotten ruins, harvest rare shards, refine them, and construct powerful crystal infrastructure to enhance your world.

Rather than simply adding new ores or tools, Crystal Alchemy introduces a new gameplay system centered on exploration, crafting, and magical utility.

Each dimension contains a unique crystal with its own properties and gameplay effects.

The Crystals:

Verydite – The Crystal of Life (Overworld):

A vibrant green crystal tied to growth, sustainability, and light. Verydite brings life and stability to your surroundings.

Ascara – The Crystal of Fire (Nether):

A blazing crimson crystal associated with power and raw energy. Ascara structures can defend your base and bring the heat to your gameplay.

Caeline – The Crystal of the Void (End):

A mysterious blue crystal linked to weightlessness, mobility, and teleportation. Caeline bends the rules of movement and gravity.

Crystal Ruins:

Each crystal can be found within procedurally generated ruins hidden across the three dimensions. These ruins contain:

- Crystal clusters and shards

- Unique building materials

- Loot and crafting resources

- Environmental storytelling

Some materials can only be harvested with Silk Touch or shears, while others break normally.

Essence Crucible:

Crystals can be refined into magical essence using the Essence Crucible.

Essence is used to craft special consumables with unique effects:

Attraction Burger – Pulls nearby dropped items toward the player

Rock Candy – Generates a moving light source that follows you

Magma Chew – Allows you to traverse the Nether more easily

These items provide powerful but balanced magical utility.

Crystal Tools:

Each crystal type has a unique craftable tool with special properties.

Verydite Scythe - A special hoe with farming perks

Ascara Dagger - A unique new weapon that'll leave enemies sweating

Caeline Staff - A walking stick used to traverse terrain more easily

Attunement Table:

The Attunement Table allows players to bind crystal energy directly into their new tools.

Using shards gathered from crystal ruins, players can repair their equipment here, or take the tools one step further by attuning them with essence.

Attunement is permanent and replaces traditional enchantment compatibility, making crystal tools a distinct progression path.

A different kind of upgrade, attunement is meant to feel like infusing tools with dimensional energy rather than stacking enchantments. The effects are intentionally simple, powerful, and tied directly to the theme of each crystal.

Resonance Pillars:

Crystal-powered structures that create persistent area effects when fueled with shards.

Each crystal provides a different effect in the surrounding 16 block radius:

- Verydite encourages crop growth

- Ascara acts as a defensive structure, it has a chance to ignite mobs within its radius

- Caeline Pillar grants an effect similar to walking on the moon

Pillars consume shards over time, making them a powerful but resource-dependent infrastructure system.

Scroll Press & Magical Scrolls:

Crystal energy can also be transformed into magical scrolls using the Scroll Press.

Players can craft scrolls using blank scrolls and crystal inks made from essence. Each scroll contains a single magical effect and is consumed when used.

Some scrolls can also be discovered in crystal ruins, allowing players to experiment with magic before crafting their own.

New Blocks & Materials:

Crystal Alchemy also adds a small but versatile set of new blocks:

- Veined stone variants for each crystal

- Mineralized terrain blocks that are brush-able

- Crystal clusters and shards

- Polished crystal blocks, slabs, and stairs

- Decorative crystal building materials

- A new End Dimension terrain block and plant

Many of these blocks emit subtle light and integrate naturally with vanilla palettes. Some of them require silk touch or shears to collect!

Design Philosophy:

Crystal Alchemy is designed to feel like a system that could have always existed in Minecraft.

Instead of overwhelming the game with dozens of unrelated items, this mod focuses on a cohesive mechanic built around:

- Exploration

- Magical infrastructure

- Dimensional identity

- Subtle worldbuilding

The entire system is intentionally compact, adding around 35 blocks and items while introducing a meaningful new gameplay loop.

Compatibility:

This addon is designed for Minecraft Bedrock Edition and works in survival worlds and multiplayer.
