CRYPTID is a unique horror mod revolving around a doom-like aesthetic and creepy ambience. Fight the demons, uncover deep secrets, and fear the dark. This is the Bedrock port of the original datapack by STEAMPWRED, ported by Decon (and my team)

This mod is still in beta, so feedback is encouraged (plus bug reports). Updates will be frequent based on feedback.

HOW TO INSTALL:

Download the .mcaddon file and open it in Minecraft Bedrock. You can do this by simply opening it. This mod NEEDS the experimental beta API enabled. You should set your simulation distance as high as possible as well

Q: How do I turn the screen overlay on/off?
A: Check resource pack options. 

Q: How do I stop dying?
A: Pay attention to the tips or hidden messages for tricks on how to play better. Trust me, it gets much easier after the 2nd or 3rd run. (or join the Discord!)

Q: Where is the wiki?
A: Being made; mostly done.

A: Use /scriptevent cryptid:dev mode on
then,

Q: I'm crashing. Please help!
A: This is a prevalent issue with the RP. We're working on a fix, hopefully lowering it to 250 mB or less, but compromises will have to be made. For now, wait 

### Basic info:
- Vibrant visuals DOES work, but is a bit buggy with the entity models. Use it at your own risk
- Optimally, do not use other resource packs/mods. Conflicts are possible. Continue at your own risk
- Entities each have unique AI and griefing potential. Expect massive corruption damage!
- All events and cryptids are based on your world harmony. Stay away from the heartbeats and entities, and fewer events will happen. Charge at them, and suffer the consequences. Refer to the radio for more details
- Events are 3x more common at night
- Challenge charm is irreversible. You are meant to survive as long as possible.
- This add-on has limited lives! Players start with 5 lives, which regenerate based on your harmony level.
- Not everything is 1:1 with the original datapack. Bedrock accommodations have been made
- I DO have the necessary permission from STEAMPWRED to make this add-on.
