Chaos Genome: Wild Mutations Version 1.0.1 Release Catalogue and Update Notes Engine Compatibility: Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.50 through 1.26.x+ Required API Modules: @minecraft/server (1.16.0+), @minecraft/server-ui (1.3.0+)
Overview
This is the complete release catalogue and patch notes overview for version 1.0.1 of Chaos Genome: Wild Mutations. This update addresses early bug reports regarding mob artificial intelligence, missing inventory icons, texture misalignment, and interaction triggers, while delivering the full suite of DNA extraction mechanics, custom mutations, boss encounters, and world generation.
Fixes and Improvements in Version 1.0.1
Boss AI and Movement Navigation Fixed Resolved an issue where the Mutant Creeper spawned completely frozen and inactive. Added proper walking navigation, basic movement controllers, jump physics, collision boxes, and target selection rules. The boss now actively pathfinds toward players, executes melee attacks, and wanders naturally when idle.
Item Icon Rendering Restored Fixed a rendering bug where the Empty Syringe and related items appeared invisible in the hotbar and inventory. Realigned item JSON definitions with the resource pack texture atlas keys to ensure all icons display properly across UI menus.
Texture Resolution Calibration Adjusted the model geometry description for the Mutant Creeper to match its native 128x128 texture resolution. This eliminates visual stretching, pixel distortion, and broken UV mapping on the mob model.
Reliable DNA Extraction Triggers Updated the extraction script to handle mobs that lack vanilla interaction components, such as Creepers and Endermen. Players can now extract DNA by striking a valid mob with an Empty Syringe, as well as through right-click interactions on passive creatures like Frogs.
Integrated Custom Audio System Added custom sound definition mappings and entity audio event hooks for the Mutant Creeper. The entity now plays distinct ambient roaring, damage taken, and death sound effects in-game.
Developer Helper Commands Included pre-built helper function files in the Behavior Pack to streamline testing and world setup.
Complete Addon Features Breakdown
- Syringes and DNA Extraction
- Empty Syringe: Standard glass syringe used to collect genetic samples from living creatures. Stackable up to 64.
- Creeper DNA Syringe: Genetic sample obtained from a Creeper.
- Enderman DNA Syringe: Genetic sample obtained from an Enderman.
- Frog DNA Syringe: Genetic sample obtained from a Frog.
- Phantom DNA Syringe: Genetic sample obtained from a Phantom.
- Genome Syrups and Mutations Drinking any syrup toggles its associated mutation on or off dynamically for the user:
- Creeper Genome Syrup (Creeper Blast-Skin): Sneak-attacking an entity causes a localized explosion around the target without breaking surrounding blocks. Causes Iron Golems to treat the player as hostile.
- Frog Genome Syrup (Frog Leg Propulsion): Grants continuous Jump Boost III, negates fall damage, and adds subtle micro-hop momentum.
- Ender Genome Syrup (Ender-Gaze): Sneaking and aiming at a block within a 20-block range teleports the player directly to that location. Incurs magic damage when standing in water or uncovered rain.
- Phantasm Genome Syrup (Phantasm Wings): Grants a slow-falling glide during night hours. Direct sunlight ignites the player unless a helmet is equipped.
Mutational Overload System Maintaining more than 3 active mutations simultaneously overloads the host body. Every 10 seconds, a random chaotic event triggers, such as converting nearby water blocks into slime blocks, spawning primed explosives, or causing forced short-range teleports.
