# CoM Noncommercial License 1.0
Canonical text: https://github.com/aitji/CoM/blob/sources/LICENSE
## Scope
This license applies only to the **Software**: source code, scripts,
behavior definitions, configuration files, and compiled addon files
(e.g. `.mcaddon`, `.mcpack`) made available by the Licensor in this
repository. It does **not** apply to artwork, logos, screenshots,
documentation text, release notes, or other media, which remain
governed by separate copyright terms set out in [COPYRIGHT.md](./COPYRIGHT.md).
## Acceptance
In order to get any license under these terms, you must agree to
them as both strict obligations and conditions to all your licenses.
## Copyright License
The Licensor grants you a copyright license for the Software to do
everything you might do with the Software that would otherwise
infringe the Licensor's copyright in it, for any Permitted Purpose.
You may only distribute the Software according to the Distribution
License, and make changes or new works based on the Software
according to the Changes and New Works License.
## Distribution License
The Licensor grants you an additional copyright license to
distribute copies of the Software, including copies with changes
and new works permitted by the Changes and New Works License,
provided you comply with the Notices and Attribution section below.
## Changes and New Works License
The Licensor grants you an additional copyright license to make
changes and new works based on the Software, for any Permitted
Purpose, including publicly sharing your changes or new works.
## Patent License
The Licensor grants you a patent license for the Software covering
patent claims the Licensor can license, or becomes able to license,
that you would infringe by using the Software.
## Permitted Purpose
"**Permitted Purpose**" means any Noncommercial Purpose, as defined
below. A use is a "**Commercial Purpose**" — and is **not** a
Permitted Purpose, and is **not licensed under these terms** —
if it is primarily intended for or directed toward commercial
advantage or monetary compensation. Without limiting that standard,
each of the following is always a Commercial Purpose:
(a) selling the Software, or any part of it, or any product or
service that includes it, for money or other compensation;
(b) requiring payment, a paid subscription, a "tip," a "donation,"
or any other form of compensation as a condition of accessing,
downloading, or using the Software or any copy of it;
(c) generating advertising revenue from any page, app, or service
whose primary purpose is distributing the Software, including
ad-gated download links, forced redirects, or link shorteners used
for ad revenue;
(d) bundling the Software into any paid product, paid modpack, or
monetized server offering; or
(e) any other use primarily intended for or directed toward
commercial advantage or monetary compensation.
### Noncommercial Purposes
Personal use for research, learning, experimentation, testing,
private entertainment, hobby projects, amateur pursuits, or
religious observance, without any anticipated Commercial Purpose,
is a Permitted Purpose. This includes modifying the Software and
publicly sharing your modified version at no cost, provided no part
of that distribution is a Commercial Purpose under (a)–(e) above.
Use by a charitable organization, educational institution, public
research organization, public safety or health organization,
environmental protection organization, or government institution is
a Permitted Purpose regardless of the source of funding, unless that
specific use independently qualifies as a Commercial Purpose under
(a)–(e) above.
If you are unsure whether your intended use is a Commercial Purpose,
contact the Licensor before proceeding — see the Contact section of
[COPYRIGHT.md](./COPYRIGHT.md).
## Notices and Attribution
Anyone who receives a copy of any part of the Software from you must
also receive, unmodified:
(a) a copy of these terms, or the canonical URL where they are
published; and
(b) the following Required Notice:
> Required Notice: CoM / Chain of Mining / Chain o' Mining — Copyright © 2026
> @aitji (https://github.com/aitji) & @pickerth-12
> (https://github.com/pickerth-12). Licensed under the CoM
> Noncommercial License 1.0. Source: https://github.com/aitji/CoM
You must not remove, obscure, or alter the Required Notice. You must
not state or imply that your copy or modified version is the
official release of the Software, or that you are affiliated with,
endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Licensor.
## Trademarks
This license does not grant any right to use the "CoM", "Chain o' Mining" or "Chain of Mining" names, logos, or any other trademark of the Licensor,
beyond what the Notices and Attribution section above requires.
## Fair Use
You may have "fair use" or similar rights in the Software under
applicable law. These terms do not limit them.
## No Other Rights
These terms do not allow you to sublicense or transfer any of your
licenses to anyone else, or prevent the Licensor from granting
licenses to anyone else. These terms do not imply any other
licenses.
## Patent Defense
If you make any written claim that the Software infringes or
contributes to infringement of any patent, your patent license for
the Software under these terms ends immediately. If your company
makes such a claim, your patent license ends immediately for work
on behalf of your company.
## Violations
The first time you are notified in writing that you have violated
any of these terms, or done anything with the Software not covered
by your licenses, your licenses can continue if you come into full
compliance with these terms and take practical steps to correct past
violations, within 30 days of receiving notice. Otherwise, all your
licenses under these terms end immediately.
In addition to license termination, the Licensor may pursue a DMCA
takedown notice, contact the relevant hosting platform directly, or
pursue any other remedy available under applicable law. See
[COPYRIGHT.md](./COPYRIGHT.md) for the project's full enforcement policy.
## No Liability
***As far as the law allows, the Software comes as is, without any
warranty or condition, and the Licensor will not be liable to you
for any damages arising out of these terms or the use or nature of
the Software, under any kind of legal claim.***
## Definitions
The **Licensor** is the individual(s) or entity offering these
terms — currently @aitji and @pickerth-12 — and the **Software** is
the software the Licensor makes available under these terms, as
described in Scope above.
**You** refers to the individual or entity agreeing to these terms.
**Your company** is any legal entity, sole proprietorship, or other

substantially all the assets of an entity, or the power to direct
its management and policies by vote, contract, or otherwise. Control
can be direct or indirect.
**Your licenses** are all the licenses granted to you for the
Software under these terms.
**Use** means anything you do with the Software requiring one of
your licenses.
