Cat Meme

Tame a cat and it transforms into the famous clapping cat meme, complete with the sound from the original clip.

Features

• Meme transformation: when a cat is tamed, it turns invisible and is replaced by the meme cat, played as a frame-by-frame particle animation. No custom mob model is used.
• Original audio: the clip's sound plays at the cat's position, and every player within 32 blocks can hear it.
• Slow while dancing: the cat walks slowly during the transformation and returns to normal when the clip ends (about 6.8 seconds).
• Transform again: feed raw fish to an already-tamed cat for a 30% chance to transform again.
• Stable APIs only: no Beta APIs or experimental toggles required.

Installation

1. Download and open the .mcaddon file with Minecraft Bedrock.
2. Create a new world and enable both the Behavior Pack and the Resource Pack.
3. Keep Cheats and all experimental toggles turned off.
4. Tame a cat and enjoy.

Customization

Open scripts/main.js in the Behavior Pack to change:

• Particle size
• Sound volume and hearing range
• Chance to transform when feeding
• Slowness level during the transformation

Notes

• Requires Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.100 or newer.
• The manifests include product_type: addon to keep achievements available. Worlds that have Cheats enabled, or have ever had experimental toggles enabled, will have achievements disabled permanently.
• Cats that are tamed before the add-on is installed will transform the next time the add-on loads.
