# Blocksweight Physics
## Quickstart
1. Craft or take a **Mechanical Bearing**, **Drive Shaft**, **Machine Wheel**, and **Mechanical Engine** from the Creative inventory.
2. Place a bearing next to the machine parts you want to move. Make the parts touch face-to-face in a connected arrangement; for example, put a shaft beside the bearing and a wheel beside the shaft.
3. Place the engine so it touches the bearing or another connected machine part. Interact with the bearing to connect the assembly, then interact with the engine to engage it.
4. Keep a player within 48 blocks of the bearing. If the rotating assembly’s next position is clear, its connected machine blocks turn around the bearing in quarter-turn steps. Interact with the bearing again to disconnect it.
For a quick test, use these commands if cheats are enabled:

## Overview
Blocksweight Physics provides placeable machine blocks, simple face-connected mechanical networks, and small rotating assemblies. Its physics framework is scripted; it does not make ordinary Minecraft blocks or entities obey a new world-wide physics system.
## What It Adds
| Block | Use |
|---|---|
| Mechanical Bearing | Connects or disconnects a machine-block assembly and acts as its rotating anchor. |
| Drive Shaft | A transmission part for connecting machine blocks. |
| Transmission Gear | Transfers mechanical values through a network; interacting with it switches its tooth setting between 16 and 32. |
| Machine Wheel | A transmission part that can also be included in a bearing assembly. |
| Belt Drive | A transmission part that passes power through a connected network. |
| Mechanical Engine | Toggles the network drive on or off. |
| Mechanical Controller | Displays the connected network’s mechanical readout when interacted with. |
| Machine Casing | A machine block that can be included in an assembly. |
| Physics Core | Displays physics profiling information when interacted with. |
## How To Use
Machine networks form through machine blocks touching face-to-face, including vertically. A network search is limited to 8 blocks in each direction from the block being checked and to 128 machine blocks.
Interact with an engine to engage or disengage it. An engaged engine supplies **4 rad/s** and **24 torque**; connected machine blocks show their calculated speed, torque, power, and estimated stress when interacted with. Power is calculated as torque multiplied by angular velocity. The controller is a readout, not a separate engine switch.
Interact with a gear to switch its tooth setting between **16** and **32**. Gear ratios affect transferred speed and torque; connected gears turn the simulated rotation in the opposite direction. Belts and bearings apply losses to the network’s calculated values. These are simple network calculations, not a detailed simulation of moving shafts or belts.
To make a bearing assembly, place connected machine blocks near the bearing and interact with it. The bearing searches connected machine blocks within 4 blocks in each direction, up to 48 parts. The engine, controller, and bearing blocks are not moved as part of the assembly; other connected machine blocks can be. Interact with the bearing again to disconnect it.

## Abilities And Mechanics
- **Turning assemblies:** A powered bearing assembly rotates horizontally around the bearing in 90-degree steps. It only runs while a player is within 48 blocks in the same dimension.
- **Clearance:** The blocks’ destination positions must be air or positions occupied by the assembly itself. An obstructed turn does not complete.
- **Assembly scope:** Only connected Blocksweight machine blocks are moved; ordinary blocks are not attached to the assembly.
- **Physics Core readout:** Interacting with a Physics Core shows counts for physics bodies and constraints, recent and peak step times, step count, and debug status. This is diagnostic information for the scripted physics framework, not a control for moving blocks.
## Progression And Strategy
Start with a short, connected line of machine parts and check that the engine can reach the bearing through face-adjacent blocks. Add gears to try different speed and torque ratios, or a belt drive to extend the network. Keep the space around a rotating assembly clear, and test turns with a small build before making a larger one.
