Blocks of Books

The addon adds book-based blocks, new decorative books, and changes the textures of existing books — such as the regular book, enchanted book, book and quill, and written book. The new blocks and items are used for decoration and storage.

The Block of Books is crafted from 9 regular books. It can be placed in any direction and takes 2 seconds to break, regardless of the tool used.

If you break it without the Silk Touch enchantment, it drops 9 regular books. If you use Silk Touch or break it by hand, the block itself will drop. You can also recraft it back into books.

Be careful — the block is flammable! 

Block of Decorative Books function exactly like the normal book block — the only differences are in texture, crafting recipe, and drop behavior.

Decorative books are used for decoration and to craft their matching book blocks.

Each decorative book is crafted from 2 regular books placed in a specific shape in the crafting table. You can discover the recipe by obtaining the matching book.

The only book that cannot be crafted is the Decorative Enchanted Book. It is created when a player uses any enchanted book — the regular book is replaced or converted into the decorative enchanted one.

All new items have yellow rarity.
