Description

Auto Chest Sorter

By Gods Apostles

An "Auto Sorter" that automatically sorts items from input chests into organized output chests. Set a scan radius, place an item frame on the chests you want items sorted into and let it do the rest. No redstone required.

Features

  • Auto Sorting — Items placed in a registered input chest are automatically routed to nearby output chests
  • Item Frame Tagging — Place an item frame on an output chest to tag it for a specific item type
  • Network System — Link multiple input chests together with a shared Network ID to extend sorting range
  • Scan Modes — Choose how the sorter searches for output chests: Cube, Flat, Line X, Line Z, or Line Y
  • Max Fill — Set a maximum fill percentage per chest to prevent output chests getting completely full
  • Stats Tracking — View how many items each chest has sorted and a top items leaderboard
  • Radius Preview — Visualize the scan radius of any input chest with particles
  • Pause / Resume — Temporarily disable sorting on individual chests without unregistering them
  • Break Protection — Breaking a registered input chest prompts you to keep or delete its registration
  • Settings — Configure sort interval, preview particles, preview duration, and chat notifications

Installation

  1. Download the .mcpack file
  2. Open it — Minecraft will automatically import it
  3. Apply the behavior pack to your world in World Settings → Add-Ons → Behavior Packs
  4. Enable Beta APIs under Experiments (required)

How to Use

Registering an Input Chest

  1. Sneak + Right-click any chest to open the Auto Sorter menu
  2. Press Set as Input Chest
  3. Set a label, optional Network ID, scan radius, and scan mode
  4. The sorter will now pull items from this chest and route them to nearby output chests

Setting Up Output Chests

  • Item Frame method — Place an item frame on the front of a chest and put an item in it. The sorter will send only that item type to that chest
  • Existing items method — Any chest that already contains items will be used as an output for those item types

Network IDs

Give two or more input chests the same Network ID and they will share each other's output chests. Useful for large storage rooms where one radius isn't enough.
