Update 2.0

Biome Atmospheres

Added unique ambient soundscapes for the following biomes:

  • Sulfur Caves

  • Dripstone Caves

  • Lush Caves

  • Deep Dark

  • Pale Garden

  • Cherry Grove

  • Roofed Forest

Environment

Expanded environmental ambience with additional sound events for:

  • Rain

  • Thunderstorms

  • Snowfall on cold biomes

Behavior Changes

  • Biome ambience will now fade out when a player is more than 100 blocks above the nearest ground surface.

  • Players at Y=180 or higher will now hear high-altitude ambience instead of biome-specific ambient sounds.

  • If a player is above Y=180 but is standing on blocks during rain, rain sounds will still be played

Settings

  • The volume adjustment menu is now accessible through the command /atmosphericsounds

    • The original way of accessing the menu through the Atmospheric Sounds Volume item is still available

  • Added another volume slider for the secondary random sounds

    • This affects the randomly played sounds, for example, the occasional village sounds.

  • Descriptive texts explaining what each slider determines have been added to the configuration menu

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the generic indoor ambience was incorrectly registered internally, preventing it from playing as intended.
