ARINO2000's Realistic Block Physics
Bring your Minecraft Bedrock world to life with dynamic block destruction and realistic-looking physical debris!
ARINO2000's Realistic Block Physics transforms ordinary block breaking into a more immersive visual experience. Instead of simply disappearing, supported blocks break into physical-looking fragments that scatter, fall, bounce, roll, and interact with the world.
Designed for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, this addon combines custom 3D shard models, block textures, animations, and a JavaScript-based physics system to make block destruction feel more dynamic.
✨ FEATURES
🧱 Dynamic Block Destruction
- Broken blocks can produce up to 8 physical fragments.
- Different block types use different fragment representations.
- Cubic blocks generate textured 3D shards.
- Non-cubic blocks, such as plants, fences, and torches, can use item-based fragment models.
- Fragments receive randomized initial movement when spawned.
🎨 Custom 3D Fragment System
- Multiple custom shard geometry models.
- Randomized shard model variations.
- Dedicated block texture collection.
- 64 handcrafted block textures included in the Resource Pack.
- Additional game-based textures for other supported blocks.
- Custom rendering controllers and animations.
⚙️ Physics Simulation
- Gravity-driven fragment movement using Minecraft's entity physics.
- Material-based weight and bounce properties.
- Different materials have different physical characteristics.
- Dynamic bounce behavior after landing.
- Directional rolling animation.
- Hit-based knockback: players can hit fragments to send them flying.
- Weapon type, attack timing, and sprinting affect knockback strength.
🚀 Performance Management
- Global active-fragment limit of 120.
- Automatic removal of the oldest fragments when the limit is reached.
- Helps prevent unlimited fragment accumulation.
- Supports fragment tracking across the Overworld, Nether, and End.
🛠️ TECHNICAL DETAILS
- Platform: Minecraft Bedrock Edition
- Minimum Engine Version: 1.26.20
- Script API: @minecraft/server 2.7.0
- Pack Type: Behavior Pack + Resource Pack
- Author: ARINO2000
- Version: 1.7.0
📦 INSTALLATION
1. Download the ".mcaddon" file.
2. Open it with Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
3. Wait for both packs to import successfully.
4. Create a new world or edit an existing world.
5. Activate both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack.
6. Enter your world and start breaking blocks!
Important: Your Minecraft version must meet the minimum engine requirement. Make sure both packs are enabled in the world settings.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES
- Physics behavior and fragment appearance can vary depending on block type.
- Not every vanilla or custom block has a dedicated handcrafted texture.
- Some non-cubic blocks use their item representation instead of a custom shard texture.
- The addon currently focuses on fragment spawning, movement, bouncing, rolling, and knockback.
- It does not yet implement a complete rigid-body collision engine or full block-to-block physics.
- Performance may vary depending on device hardware and the number of active entities.
