Arcane Portals

Arcane Portals is a mod that allows you to create magical portals to another dimension. This dimension includes all your portals and allows you to travel between them instantly. Each portal has an element (fire, water, earth, air and blood) which influences the craft cost and the portal's properties and boons. You can also boost your portals with overcharges to improve its bonuses and reduce its penalties.

Once in the dimension you can fly to the portals and reach any destination.

Crafting

To build a portal, you need to craft a portal frame and place it in the world. Then, you need to charge the portal with the corresponding element's core. Each element has its own crafting recipe and properties. You can also apply an overcharge to the portal by using the corresponding overcharge while sneaking and right-clicking the portal.

Elements

Air

The cheapest portal to craft, you need to charge this portal with 3 feathers. Passing the portal will consume a charge and give you a 5s blindness effect.

The overcharge allows you to charge the portal with a wind charge to restore 5 charges. It also removes the blindness effect when passing through the portal.

Earth

Another cheap portal to craft, it has a 3 minutes cooldown when passing through it. It will give you a 15s slowness effect and 10s resistance effect.

The overcharge divides by 2 the cooldown when passing through the portal. It also removes the slowness effect and increases the resistance effect to 20s.

Water

A mid-game portal that clears all effects when passing through it. It gives you a 30s haste effect and 30s water breathing effect. The portal must be submerged in water to work.

The overcharge gives you a 2 min haste and water breathing effect, a 30 sec conduit power effect and 3 min night vision effect.

Fire

The fire portal has 3 levels of heat. When you pass through a portal with heat level 3 you have 1 chance in 3 to break your portal. There is 1 chance in 3 to increase the heat level by 1 when passing through a portal. You have to wait 5 min to decrease by 1 level. The portal gives you a 1 min fire resistance effect, 15s strength and resistance effect. If you break your portal, you will have to fix it with a new fire core.

The overcharge removes the heat level and gives you a 5 min fire resistance effect, 1 min strength and resistance effect, you are invulnerable for 5s.

Blood

The strongest portal to craft, it gives you a 30sec strength effect, 30 sec resistance effect, 1 min speed effect, 1 min jump boost effect and 3min night vision effect, you are also invulnerable for 5s. It deals you 3 hearts of damage when passing through it.

The overcharge removes the damage and makes you invulnerable for 15s. It also gives you a 5 min strength effect, 5 min resistance effect, 5 min speed effect, 5 min jump boost effect and 15min night vision effect.

Installation

This mod do not require to enable any experiment option.
