Aqueous Depths Introduces several new features to the Oceans, including new biomes, structures and even a whole new boss!

 

BIOMES:

Drenched Void: the Drenched Void is a biome that has very dark and foggy waters, the biome itself can extend all the way to the bottom of the world

Thermal Seas: the Thermal Seas are a yellow colored ocean with magma, boiling bubbles and floating islands, it has a bunch of fire themed mobs in the water

Glowing Ocean:
Glowing Oceans feature Sea Glowstone, Glowing Cod and Glow Squids!

Dread Reef: the Dread Reef is a pale version of the coral reef with pale fish and an exclusive hostile mob:

Island Ocean: Island Ocean consists of several islands and spikes

Iceberg Ocean: the Iceberg ocean is a variant of the Frozen Ocean featuring tall icebergs and spikes

MOBS:

Mobs in the pack have a food chain system, if a mob is classed as a predator, pray or neutral, theyll behave differently.

Prey: Mostly passive mobs (all fish and squids are classified as pray)
Neutral: will attack when provoked or attack certain mobs to just kill them (guardians and drowned are classed as neutral)
Predator: Hostile to nearly everything in the water (you can throw chum clusters in the water to make them avoid you)

 

Clams: Clams are mobs that can be found in all the ocean biomes, when killed they drop food, when they have their mouth open, use shears on them to obtain a pearl, the pearl color is dependent on the color of the clam, each color is found in a different biome

Jellyfish: Jellyfish just swm around and glow, nothing too special
(Classification: Prey)

Reefopods: Reefopods spawn in coral reefs and swim around the area
(Classification: Prey)

Shrimp: Shrimp are another fish mob that drops food:

Sea Snail: Sea Snails spawn in all ocean biomes and have colored varients depending on the biome they spawn in, they hide in their shells when predator mobs come by or when a player swims near them:

Merfolk: Merfolk are a humanoid race that attacks players that arent wearing Scrap Metal Armor, they can be traded with when not provoked (you can cycle their trades by provoking them). they attack undead mobs, the babies can be adopted via giving them Malachite, when adopted they can be fed, given potions and milk and many other things, when the adopted merfolk becomes an adult, you can give them armor and weapons and they will fight for you (they also have a few secret interactions with certain items)

(Classification: Neutral and Prey)

Sea Urchin: Sea Urchins are slow moving creatures that attack anything that comes in contact with them, they drop Sea Urchin spines when killed
(Classification: Neutral)

Bubbaling: Bubbalings swim around players and will attack when attacked first, when theyre attacked, all nearby bubbalings attack with them as a group
(Classification: Neutral)

Magma Puffer: Magma Puffers are similar to pufferfish, except they start doing damage when theyre in the second puff stage, when theyre fully puffed they deal more damage and gain wither effect, if they die in their full puff stage they explode
(Classification: Neutral)

Abyss Guardian: Abyss Guardians spawn in Structure Block Shrine structures, they fire out beams that explode into a bunch of boiling hot bubbles
(Classification: Neutral)

Prismarine Foes: Prismarine Foes spawn with randomized prismarine equipment and are fast moving
(Classification: Neutral)

Sunken Golem: Sunken Golems spawn near marble ruins, they serve as guardians for the structure

Sunken: Sunkens are water skeletons that throw Wooden Harpoons at players, when the player gets up close it switches to attacking you up close instead of throwing:

Adaptive Drowned: Adaptive Drowneds are similar to normal drowneds but have a different design, the design is dependant on the biome it spawns in, alongside their abilities

Giant Squid: Giant Squids are slow moving mobs, when they attack they release a cloud of ink that blinds anything that enters it:

(Classification: Predator)

Drowned Shark: Drowned Sharks approach their targets very slowly, when they get to their target they zoom in extremely fast and kill them, they also can attack boats
(Classification: Predator)

Magma Latcher: Magma Latchers latch onto their targets and deal rapid damage, they inflict blindness when theyre attached to players
(Classification: Predator)

Lurer: the Lurer hides in the dark and opens its mouth, looking simiilar to a clam, when its targets get near, they charge in and attack:

Orthoceras: Orthoceras's attack players, merfolk and nautilus via dashing into them with their large horn
(Classification: Predator)

Giant Isopod: Giant Isopods spawn in groups and attack
(Classification: Predator)

Thermal Shrimp: Thermal Shrimps fire out a bubble that deals 900 damage every 40 seconds
(Classification: Predator)

Titan Clam: Titan Clams instakill anything that enters their mouth (even through a totem), when killed while their mouth is open, they drop Giant Pearls
(Classification: Predator, isnt affected by chum clusters)

Juvenile Void Wyrm: Juvenile Void Wyrms are fast moving and attacking miniboss mobs, its an extremely tanky mob with high attack damage.

(Classification: Predator)

Drenched Squid: Drenched Squids are minibosses that inflict darkness when the player is fighting them. when they attack you they release shockwaves, when theyre found, theyre seen mimicing a school of Blue Jellyfish. (the mob is immortal until provoked)
(Classification: Predator, isnt affected by chum clusters)

Primordial Wyrm: Primordial Wyrm is the boss of Aqueous Depths, theyre hostile to any prey mobs before the boss fight is activated (the boss is immortal until you use a Lomos Crawler found in Drenched Void Structure crates, drenched void crates can be opened via Abyssal Crate keys found in any ocean structure)

the boss has a total of 12 unique attacks and drops a Lumenyl Forging Template:
(Classification: Predator, isnt affected by chum clusters)

on the bosses death, it spawns a baby version of itself that you can tame using pearls, itll eventually grow up into a Juvenile Void Wyrm you can ride

STRUCTURES:

Atlantis Trial Chambers: Atlantis Trial Chambers are an underwater version of the trial chamber, it has several water mobs and creatures, this is now the only place where you can get tridents, it also has its own exclusive items such as the Prismarine Gauntlet

Aqueous Soul Forge: structure that contains the Soul Forge

Marble Ruins: ruins that contain the sunken golem

Structure Block Shrine: structure that contains the Ruined Structure Block item that spawns turrents that attack anything not holding a Ruined Structure Block

Merfolk Bastion: has 3 varients, is home to the merfolk

 

ITEMS:

Cleavers: Cleavers do 2 less damage than a sword, but every 5 hits will do one massive attack, dealing 4x the damage of the Cleaver (not including potion effects and sharpness), the cleaver does test to see if youve been hit by another cleaver before, if you got hit by a wooden cleaver 3 times by someone, then another person hits you with a diamond one 2 times, the diamond cleavers massive attack will still happen to you

Harpoons: Harpoons are a throwable ranged weapon that deal high damage however do not stack they do an extra damage in water, the weapon has a lot less range in air, but more in water. 

Toolsets

Silver: Silver is a tad bit stronger than iron

Opal: Opal is basically the oceans version of diamond

Reidite: Reidite is an exclusive ore found in the Thermal Seas, its slightly worse than diamond, it does have other uses such as Boiler Bombs

Prismarine: Better than iron but worse than diamond

Scrap Metal: Scrap Metal is worse than iron, however it makes it so Merfolk dont attack you when wearing the gear

Tungsten: Tungsten has slightly better stats than iron, however has 2x the durability of diamond, Template is found in any ocean structure

Elder Prismarine: Elder Prismarine is slightly stronger than diamond, but has worse durability, Template and Elder Prismarine are both dropped by Elder Guardians

Sea Prism: Sea Prism is stronger than netherite in stats, Sea Prism Items are dropped by most predator type mobs and the template is obtained via fishing (whether through fishing traps, normal fishing or breaking shipping crates)

Malachite: Malachite is far stronger than netherite and sea prism gear, the template is dropped from Merfolk Brutes

Lumenyl: the strongest gear in the mod, it has a set bonus and also grants immunities to certain damage types, Lumenyl items are obtained at the bottom of the Drenched Void Biome, template is dropped by the Primordial Wyrm

 

MISC CONTENT AND CHANGES

Magnesium: magnesium is an ore thats found anywhere in the overworld, its primary usage is for making underwater related things like Underwater Torches

Air Tank: Air tanks can be fueled via wind charges, they can have up to 5 bits of fuel, when you use it you get Water Breathing for 10 seconds (Craftable)

Air Bottle: same thing as an air tank but worse

Super Absorbent Sponge: infinitely usable sponge obtained in Atlantis Trial Chambers

Release Bubbles: Release bubbles can contain liquid, the bubbles randomly pop when thrown (Craftable)
(Sidenote: Milk Release bubbles dont drop liquid when used, they clear the effects of all mobs in a 5 block radius)

Bubble Wand: fires out bubbles (Craftable)

Enchanted Bubble Wand: fires out damaging bubbles, found in atlantis trial chambers

Prismarine Gauntlet: can be used in your offhand to give you perm strength and haste, when in your mainhand however, anything hit will cause a chain reaction of damage to any nearby mobs, found in atlantis trial chambers)

Rusty Anchor: accelerates your fall speed (Craftable)

Bag of Winds: launches you upwards, only works in water (Craftable)

Chum Cluster: throwable item that makes most predator type mobs chase after it (Craftable)

Sponge Ball: throwable 1 time use sponge (Craftable)

Sea Mine: throwable mines that float when thrown underwater (Craftable)

Urchin ball: throwable spike that floats when thrown underwater (Craftable)

Glow Stick: throwable light source (Craftable)

Heart of the Sea and Water Breathing Potion recipes have been changed (use Lomos Pearls to make water breathing potions)

 

POTIONS: 

Mining Fatigue Potion
(Made from Elder Prismarine)

Typhoon Potion: Launches you upward or downward underwater, direction depends on if you're going up, down or standing still
(Made from Typhoon Wind Charges)

Depth Strength Potion: Grants strength, level and time depends on how low the Y cord is when you used it, it only works underwater
(Made from Lumenyl)

Aqua Haste Potion: Grants Haste when used underwater
