Anonymous Kills — Better by bigbrain

Anonymous Kills is a lightweight Bedrock script addon that hides the killer's name in the death message when they have an invisibility effect. Instead of giving away who swung the sword, chat shows scrambled glitch text — keeping invisible players truly anonymous.
✦ How it works
| Situation | Death Message |
|---|---|
| Normal kill | Steve was slain by Alex |
| Kill while invisible | Steve was slain by §k123 |
| Mob kill | Steve was slain by zombie |
| Environmental death | Steve died |
The scrambled text uses Minecraft's built-in obfuscation formatting — it looks like rapidly changing glitch characters in chat. No mods needed to see it, it just works.
✦ Why you'll want it
- Actually invisible. Vanilla invis hides your body but your name still shows up in kill feed. This fixes that.
- PvP-ready. Perfect for invisibility potions in UHC, SMP, or any PvP scenario where stealth should mean stealth.
- Zero bloat. One script file. No resource pack, no custom entities, no extra commands.
- Server-ready. Drop it on your realm or dedicated server — works instantly for all players.
- Automatic. No setup, no config. Drink an invis potion and your kills are anonymous. Potion wears off, your name comes back.
✦ Installation
- Download the
.mcaddon - Open it — Minecraft imports it automatically
- Enable Anonymous Kills under Behavior Packs in your world settings
- Enable Beta APIs in your world's Experiments
- Go invisible, go hunting
Requires Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.0+ with Beta APIs enabled.
