Animal Corpses makes death in Minecraft feel real. When a mob dies, it does not just pop into loot. It leaves its actual body on the ground: the real model, the real skin, lying where it fell. What you get from it is up to you. Skin it, butcher it, cook it, eat it, or turn it into a statue.
Just don't leave it lying around too long. Bodies rot.
- Real Dead Bodies
77 mobs leave a body when they die, from cows and wolves to zombies, villagers and even the Wither. Each body keeps the mob's own look: sheep keep their wool colour, horses keep their markings, and villagers keep their profession outfit. Bodies fall to the ground, float on water, and bleed for a short time.

- Skin with Shears
Use shears on an animal body to get leather, wool, feathers or rabbit hide, more than a normal kill gives. The body then shows its bare skin.

- Butcher Part by Part
Hit a body with a sword or an axe. Every hit cuts off one part (legs, head, then the torso) and gives you meat or loot each time. Shear the body first and you get even more meat.
- Butcher Knife
A heavy cleaver made for butchering. It gives one extra piece of meat with every cut, and it works as a weapon too.

- Cook It Whole
A mob that dies in fire, in lava, or by a Fire Aspect weapon leaves a roasted body. You can also place a body over a campfire, fire or lava, and it will roast by itself. Roasted bodies give cooked meat.

- Carry and Eat Bodies
Mine an untouched body to pick it up. It shows as a 3D model in your hand. Place it anywhere, or eat it whole. Raw bodies will make you sick; roasted ones are much safer.

- Rotting Day by Day
Bodies rot as the in-game days go by. After one day they turn green and flies gather. After two days they are badly rotten. After three days only bones are left, and after five days the body is gone. Rotten bodies only give rotten flesh or bones.

- Mob Statues
Throw a Splash Potion of Preservation on a body and it stops rotting forever. An uncut body stands up as a statue. Pick it up, place it anywhere, and right-click to turn it. Sneak and right-click with an empty hand to switch between standing and lying down.

- Bring Them Back
Throw a Splash Potion of Healing or Regeneration on a fresh body to bring the mob back to life. Tamed pets and named mobs come back as themselves, with the same name, owner and data.(note due to some barriers tamed pets cannot be revived, im working on it)
