What's new
Andy's Soulbound Graves 0.1.31 — Initial Release
The first public release turns protected deaths into complete physical burial scenes instead of loose item piles or abstract menus.
Included in this release
- Four craftable Soulbound Rune tiers with 3, 6, 9, or unlimited successful grave uses.
- A required off-hand slot tradeoff: the rune must be in the shield slot when death occurs.
- Transactional item capture that commits possessions to buried skeleton remains before considering the grave successful.
- The updated rune is stored with the player's possessions and returned during recovery; failed grave creation does not consume a use.
- A physical 1 × 3 gravesite with coarse dirt, flowers where appropriate, a death-day sign, a stepped tombstone, faint emissive runes, an etched
RIP, and a Soul Lantern. - Twenty-four tombstone visual combinations: stone, deepslate, or diorite paired with eight rune-inscription palettes.
- Environment-aware graves in the Overworld, Nether, End, and submerged locations.
- A solid protective grave vault for Tier IV lava deaths.
- A native Recovery Compass bound to one specific grave, with horizontal direction, distance, vertical guidance, dimension status, and Soulbinding time remaining.
- Safe, atomic inventory restoration from the exposed skeleton only after ownership, grave identity, compass binding, and inventory capacity are verified.
- Multiple active graves without a newer death overwriting an older unrecovered grave.
- Optional Timed Soulbinding with 20-minute, 40-minute, 60-minute, and unlimited tier windows; disabled by default.
- Five-minute and one-minute expiry warnings, plus a Wither Rose ritual that reactivates expired remains without deleting the stored inventory.
- Configurable post-recovery behavior: memorial, immediate removal, permanent marker, or timed memorial.
- Rune recharging for Tier I–III at an anvil using an Amethyst Cluster.
- Protected grave plots, owner identification, death-day display, removal controls, and recovered-remains bone drops.
- Standard graphics and Vibrant Visuals/PBR support.
- Single-player, multiplayer, Realms, and compatible Bedrock server support.
- No cheats, commands, experimental gameplay toggles, or required add-on dependencies.
Important survival rules
- Void deaths are not protected. Items lost to the void follow vanilla behavior.
- Lava protection requires Soulbound Rune IV. Tiers I–III do not create a grave in lava.
- Experience follows vanilla death behavior and is not stored in the grave.
- Keep both included packs active and use matching versions.
Back up an important world before installing or updating any add-on.
